Re: “Sparks fly at Blue Summit's volunteer fire department

I personally was a victim of Jewells power trip issues just last year as a parent in the blue springs school district he harassed and threated me and a 16 year old boy. This man should not be working around kids at all! He pointed a finger at politics and in a way he's right I think the only reason these charges are dropped is probably just that no one wants to admit they hired someone capable of doing what he does and it makes the city look bad. Unfortunately he's worked on several city's and many people have probably been victimized!

Re: “Cop Donald Hubbard said he had no choice when he shot and killed firefighter Anthony Bruno last fall. That's because he'd already made some bad decisions

My wife is a cop, I would not expect her to follow someone on her own. I'd also expect her to have all the equipment as per the regulations, such as a radio.

Regulations are there to be followed for the safety of officers and the pubic.

For me by following the rules/regulations, this officer should be subject to criminal prosecution along with civil plus sacked from the force. He has a history of lying and should never have been on the street and civil action from the family should be taken against the force

Re: “Joy Biggs watched her sister die in a jail cell over an ounce of pot

And there I was thinking the hillbilly sheriff was confined to fictitious films like Copland. We may have crap weather 10 months of the year but at least we have free medical care and a fairer justice system.

Re: “Ferguson rally planned for tonight on the Country Club Plaza

Those who use this event as an opportunity to loot and vandalize are a disgrace to their race and should be punished to the full extent of the law.

Hey anonRN..are you a cop also since you are citing what a cop actually does with their gun.
I bet Hubbard was roughed up..awww
Guess what tho?
He still gets to kiss his family every night.
I think you should stick to healing people rather than police work

Re: “Judge Bryan Round will not preside over a wrongful-death lawsuit filed by the family of Anthony Bruno

Who in the hail appointed him anyway? Someone didn't do their homework. You all are liars and thieves. Hubbard stole a life then lied about it. In fact, Hubbard has blantaly lied twice (that we know of) and yet the law continues to defend him. I hope the Bruno Family gets the justice they deserve. You all are Not above the law. I don't know how you sleep at night.'

Re: “In search of the perfect steakhouse burger

More listicles about burgers. I feel like I'm living in a cultural desert devoid of articles about burgers. It's all I think about and I'm all like if only there was some sort of weekly publication that just published adticles about burgers, amirite? Cause then I could go eat burgers and pull a copy outa the box on my way in and read an article about burgers while I'm eating burger. I'm Mets like that.

Re: “Cop Donald Hubbard said he had no choice when he shot and killed firefighter Anthony Bruno last fall. That's because he'd already made some bad decisions

I hope none of you- EVER have to go through something like this with someone you know or love- I could sit here and argue your ignorance but what's the point? Your sheep. Let the people who keep killing people "because they had to" walk the streets that your kids, friends, etc. are walking. This isn't about money, damages, etc- it's the point that Bruno did not have to die- he could have been picked up the next morning at his hotel- sober. His home even. He was KC firefighter- he would have been confronted. To be honest, if I were him- I would have done the same damn thing and popped that cabbie- that's his wife- his best friend- think of that - if you've ever had that. As for the guy hating on Italians- don't be jealous friend- if you wanna talk shit- use the correct spelling.

Re: “B.B. King returns to the Midland in October

Do not — NOT — spend $0.01 to see BB King live, unless you don't like music and would rather listen to some guy drone on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on about Viagra while even his bandmates look bored. Never mind St. Louis; he's done this at least twice at our very own Midland. When he actually plays, there's no one on this earth who's better. But you won't hear a single song in its entirety. Sad, really.

Re: “Judge Bryan Round is a lot like former Police Board defender Bryan Round

First time to the pitch. But I've read several Karen Dillon stories today. Couple of things are clear: she's either not very familiar with criminal proceedings or she intentionally chooses to make mountains out of mole hills; she has sold her journalistic integrity to actors in the legal field; she has to go to boston and San Diego to get alleged professors to allegedly support her fake mountains; there is no David Ross on Boston College law school faculty listing, http://www.bc.edu/content/bc/schools/law/fac-staff/deans-faculty.html; when she quotes unidentified people as having said something, she is fabricating these quotes.

I heard he was lousy when he played the Kaufman Center with Frampton last year, too.

Re: “El Torreon reopens as all-ages space, promises 'good music, no agenda'

As someone who ran the el torreon for years, I think you need to give this place a chance. Let's see what it is, and not discount it so quickly. If you think music isn't being represented there that should, talk to Arin book it yourself. That's how El torreon worked as well.

Re: “Chef-restaurateur Ray "Pete" Peterman says he'll close Peanches

Good riddance. As one of Pete's former bartenders, he is a raving asshat and deserves any misfortune that comes his way. So happy not to have to wait on him anymore.
