Word to the wise: Czar does not, it seems, want older customers. My wife and I (ages 59 and 62) went there to hear a band...we knew a couple of the musicians. After eating and having a beer, we got oblique "hints" from the staff that it was awkward for us to be there. We finally left, just as the show was getting underway. Trust me, this was not something that arose out of too much drink or unseemly behavior. I've never been asked to leave an establishment before. I do understand that the owner may want to maintain a certain vibe. But, are bar customers so insecure that they need to be protected from others not of their age group? I've always felt welcomed in KC, wherever I've gone. I'm sad.

I highly recommend the Vesper! The prices are reasonable too!
The Grandstand, The Burger Joint, Max's Autodiner, Town Topic. The list goes on of places that have a way better burger, but don't advertise with The Pitch.....

I have been grilling snoots over 40 yrs. Pig snoots are supposed to be crisp just like a pork rind when grilled. The rooter with the nose holes are CUT OFF. The eatable part of the snoot is the meat from the side of the jaws (jowls). If grilled correctly, it should be crunchy. NEVER put sauce on snoots while grilling. After they are crisp, dip them in sauce and put them on bread and crunch away. For a course in snoot grilling, go to my website: "The Grill-oligist" http://mrbooker.tripod.com/pig...

Re: “Best Biker Bar”
We went there for New's Years Eve, $20 cover for all you can eat and wells and draws from 8-10. The "buffet was horrible" for $20 you would expect something more than regular bar gut food and that wasn't very well prepared or displayed. The crowd was the older biker crowd, and the smoke in the place made it unbreathable. We left early and will not go back until this place is cleaned up.
