Re: “Why does Jack White look so annoyed in Kansas City?

Oh brother! He is an artist and he travels and probably f-n tired from the road and all the douche bags out on the road. Not meaning his fans. Has anyone been on a long road trip lately? It is agonizing/horrible traffic jams road construction truck stops all that jazz!

Re: “Anthony Bruno's family records Kansas City police officers tearing down memorial ribbons (video)

Taking down the memorial ribbons is a sign of guilt. TAking down the ribbons won't make this go away as Hubbard made Bruno go away. You took a life unnecessarily. Just because you were cleared in a court of law doesn't mean you're innocent. So keep on destroying the visual reminders if that's what makes you feel better. That in fact is another coward move. You all keep incriminating yourselves. Just screams guilt.

I hope Rose gets a 400 lb cellmate with a hormone imbalance. It is too light of a sentence. If a punk ever addresses a judge like that they should have the book thrown at them.

Re: “Cop Donald Hubbard said he had no choice when he shot and killed firefighter Anthony Bruno last fall. That's because he'd already made some bad decisions

F*** everybody who thinks this cop did wrong. You try being in that situation and I guarantee you'll do the same thing or something just like it. Anybody who thinks he did wrong is either a hypocrite or just plain stupid because normal everyday people just do what they have to, you think he really wanted to do that? If you do, you are just stupid and will never know how it feels to put in that situation. It's easy to say people do bad things when you just look at what other people say isn't it? No one knows what the after effects are. Mr. Hubbard did what he had to do and no one of you know how that feels or how to live with doing the right thing but it being wrong at the same time. Taking a life is terrible but you do what you have to ex specially when you're a police officer, you live/serve to protect so f*** you all

I stopped reading after "various different". These words are synonyms. I know it's, like, a thing, or, like, something. It made me roll my eyes and close the page.

Re: “Numbers don't lie: Kansas is far behind most neighboring states in job growth

"people who have jobs in Kansas have a lighter tax burden, so they take home more of what they earn than someone who gets paid the same wage in a higher tax state"

Seems very short sighted. All it takes is some eighth grade math to see that this can't last, assuming it is temporarily true. Taxes come in a lot of forms and the good working people of Sasnak are about to become painfully familiar with all of them.

But then the governor says those who don't swallow his plan are short sighted. I'm getting the hell out of Sasnak before the storm hits and I am not alone.

nochains - Those are relevant statistics, but keep in mind the whole point of Brownie's tax cuts were to attract jobs, which isn't happening.

It's called squinting. It's what happens when the sun is shining directly into your eyes, dumbass!

Re: “Numbers don't lie: Kansas is far behind most neighboring states in job growth

Of course you ignore the fact that Kansas has a lower unemployment rate than those other states or that the people who have jobs in Kansas have a lighter tax burden, so they take home more of what they earn than someone who gets paid the same wage in a higher tax state.

That picture makes Sam look like the kind of guy that would drive an ice cream truck in the section 8 housing.

Just sayin'.

What's next? A beer made from storm drain run-off that pours with a nice rainbow sheen on the head? They could call it 10W-40.

Re: “Pete and Mac's

I give this location 5 stars.

I toured before lodging my dog here and their location was very clean and well kept. My dog seemed to have a wonderful time staying here. The "pet guardians" seemed very caring and were very nice to me and my pup. :)

Vote for that "liberal lawyer from Lawrence." That snark bomb from Brownie and his handlers is all I need to know to conclude that Mr. Davis probably has ideas beyond cutting taxes for the rich and corporations, and turning KS into a tea party utopia of hateful, ignorant, minimum wage, low information teahadists.

Re: “Drunken Fish nets a sushi hangover

I kind of have to agree with Mr. Reigel and Em...seems kind of a waste to go to a sushi restaurant, whether it is 'fusion' or the real deal and not order some real sushi. Makes me question this guys reasons for critiquing the restaurant. And bravo to you Mr. Reigel, I think its just find to stand up for yourself when some guy is painting you a certain way. Its only fair to get both sides of the story.
