For more than 50 years, St. Dionysios Greek Orthodox Christian Church (8100 West 95th Street, Overland Park, 913-341-7373) has honored the flavors and lively dance traditions of Greece through an annual celebration. High kicks, authentic costumes, tasty cheeses and repeated shouting of the word opa are sure to abound this weekend during the 51st Annual Greek Festival. In addition to Greek food and entertainment, shoppers can find an array of Greek imports for sale in the Athenian Marketplace. The festival begins Friday, 5–10 p.m., and continues 11 a.m.–10 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m.–8 p.m. today. For more information, see stdionysios.org/festival. Admission is free.
