Best Place to Avoid the Plaza's Chain Culture

In an increasingly strip-mall world, Westport remains somewhat of an oasis of funky, unique shops and restaurants. However, if you must go to the Plaza, which is often said to be the best place to take out-of-towners, blah blah blah, stop by LattéLand and try to forget that many other shopping areas in the country have the exact same stores as the Plaza. Centrally located, LattéLand is a prime people-watching location. Enjoy their iced mocha, and pray that a soulless, sterile Starbucks doesn't open up nearb-- oh, damn. Too late. --JC
