Re: “Origins of Groove, Paul Roberts

I want to thank the audience and fans for making our Blue Debut a fantastic event. It was great to see so many of KC's fellow musicians in attendance.

I personally want to thank the band for sounding great as always.

I'll have to get us in there again, soon!

Thanks again!

Re: “Heart of America Shakespeare Festival: Antony and Cleopatra

A Midsummer Night's Dream is a creative and funny performance. Puck's gymnastics are amazing. Antony and Cleopatra is a well-acted, easy- to-follow telling of the epic tale. See both productions and don't miss the green show parody before the show. It's very funny.

I give this bar 5 stars, two enthusiastic thumbs up, an all around fun place to sing! Wide variety of songs, people, and shots that liven up any night!

Re: “O, You Sinners -- Alive and Dancing

I saw this show last night and I loved it!! The music and dance came together perfectly. Eliza was amazing with the dancing, it was like watching live videos of her music- so cool!!!

Re: “ReelSmart Trivia

Thanks to everyone for visiting us at the Screenland Armour and for the generous reviews! Though we're still in the Screenland family, we've now moved our little game to the Screenland Crossroads at 1656 Washington Street in Kansas City, MO! Same great game at the same time -- hope to see you there!

Re: “The X Factor

They both had their Audience cheering on their feet

Seems like Kansas City likes country music

and they liked what they saw tonight

and they just loved this lil 12 year old and yes to a little 14 yr old girl too

With her Taylor Swift Hair and her
Fresh young voice

First she came out singing with her Dad
He was 43

Then LA Reid decided he wanted to split them up
and her Dad said ok
and then she won

These are the true stories of what happened at X Factor tonight

Re: “The X Factor

This was totally awesome
a New 37 year old Country Singer from Belton, Missouri
that's just south of KC on Hwy 71
sang with a full rich deep country singers voice

Then there was the 12 year old from a local middle school
she brought her whole class.
a little tiny 12 year old with a squeaky voice
she told us she was homeless once
and she said never again is what she would do with the $5 million and then she would buy some really nice shoes
I like nice shoes
Her voice was Deap like a full grown woman
with a tiny shrill on top making her vocals sparkle

Re: “The McClymonts, Noe Palma

I do not doubt all singers in this concert have great musical talent, but your sound board tech didn't do you justice. He had the wrong settings for us to hear and understand lyrics due to the too loud background musicians. The lead guitar was notably too loud for Noe! The sound was no better for the McClymonts. After 4 or 5 songs, we decided to leave as the voices and instruments were all thrown together at too loud a setting. It was impossible to hear the Myclymont girls' voices over the instruments. When we got to the exit, it was easier to hear the beautiful voices. Get a new Soundboard tech for the next concerts at the Kearney Amphitheater--the one Saturday night was awful!!!!

Re: “ReelSmart Trivia

My girlfriend and I heard about this game on KCUR and decided to check it out. Man, we were impressed! We've never played a game like this one before. Great audio and video clips, slick scoreboard, overall a solid production. We didn't win -- the competition was pretty tough -- but we held out own. We're definitely playing again -- this time with some backup!

Re: “Teen Icon Talent Competition

I would also like to add that I am a parent of one of the three young men who won 1st place in the Teen Icon and they have not received their winnings of $1,000 either!! We have placed several calls to them only to be ignored or put off for more weeks. I was told by an "Ashley" on last week that they would be contacting us and getting them their check on the 28th. Even given that it was the Memorial Holiday, no phone call! It's Wednesday afternoon, still phone call. I called and answer!

Re: “The Lowrider Band, Jimmy Thackery

If the LOWRIDER BAND weren't barred by a court order from using the name that they made famous, this venue would have sold out in a heartbeat. But there is nothing preventing this huge WAR fan from saying that the LOWRIDER BAND is actually the band WAR, and if you like WAR music this is the place to be for that authentic WAR sound. Thanks for bringing originality to your venue.
