Tried the Friday catfish special a couple of weeks ago and my mom had the shrimp special. Both were great -- very light breading, good crunch, nice portions, served hot, at a reasonable price. Server was very nice and checked back several times. We'll definitely go back.
Bogeys is one of the best places to eat in leawood! Laid back fun and delicious.
I have been coming here for 20'ish years w/ fam and friends alike. I never have high expectations for service however I always know the food will be delicious! Last but certainly not least, their cheese dip is priced like gold and worth every penny! The BEST ever.
Good food, and generous portions, but not quite as good as back in the 80s when the restaurant was just a 6 table or so establishment.
Fast friendly service, but the food was not hot at all - just warm. I think somebody forgot to stuff the dished up meal back in the oven for a bit prior to serving - they used to serve steaming hot meals on plates that would burn your fingers! I hope some clown didn't sue them over that. However, they were very busy with the lunch rush. I'll give them another try some day soon.
Really enjoyed Maya's but now looks to be closed or turning into something else?
Standard Mexican fare, but better then most!
If you are looking for a great dinner bargain, and who isn't, go with the taco's on Wednesday night. $1 each. 3 is PLENTY unless your a huge, huge eater. And don't forget the happy-hour Margarita's. Served in a smaller glass for only $3. They are so powerful! One....and I'm done for the night!!
Great restaurant with great food, prices and staff. Would defenitly recommend to all.
Have only been here for lunch but it was excellent. The salsa served with chips is very fresh-tasting and delicious. I tried the soft pork tacos and loved them. Can't wait to go back to try the dinner menu. The menu is so interesting that it's hard to choose.

Don Chilitos is Tex-Mex. Tex-Mex is not authentic. The point of Tex-Mex is to layer as much unhealthy stuff on a tortilla as possible (queso, sour cream, carnitas), and then add some zing with a mountain of unlimited tomato salsa. If you want authentic Mexican food, go to Western KS.

I stumbled across this place one Thursday and wandered in. They had a green chile burrito as the special. It wasn't the same kind of green chile I was used to (having grown up in New Mexico), but it was green and had some zing, and big chunks of tasty, succulent pork. Very tasty. The lunch size fajitas are wonderful too. No matter what you order, they give you too much food. I didn't find it overly spicy, but I'm a chilehead and have more tolerance than most. They have both red and green El Yucateo on the tables if you need it spiced up more. The service has always been excellent, and the wait staff very attentive. I highly recommend this place.

One of the last of a dying breed. A smoker friendly bar that is not overrun by college kids. Its a nice group of friendly regulars. The waitstaff is friendly and attentive. The food is above average, not your usual bar fare, and reasonably priced to boot. They have shot specials daily and cheap pitchers. I hear they have live bands in from time to time, and the last time I was there on Wednesday they had karaoke too. Recent remodeling has added a spacious game room with pool tables and dart boards. And as a woman I must say one of my favorite things to brag about is the CLEAN restroom, that has an apparently endless supply of TP :)Aftershock is definitely worth paying a visit to!

While this has all the decor of your standard TGI Friday's or Applebees establishments, the difference is the menu and staff. You will absolutely have no problem finding something you like and we've yet to have anything we didn't care for. Our favorites are the ribs, chicken fried stake, and anything with the jelapano bacon on top.

My wife and I went here last night and were impressed. The place was packed at 5:30 on a Friday, which is understandable for a new restaurant that everyone wants to try. The hostess was extremely nice and apologized for our wait. We didn't care about the short wait because while we waited we had a few margaritas which were large, cheap, and surprisingly good (Ponak's is still the marg king though). Oh, and they were potent!
The food was very good. I had a veggie chimichanga and my wife had a chili relleno. Both were good and full of flavor (although just a tad salty). I also must mention their chips and salsa - the chips were light and crispy, and their salsa was quite tasty and WARM! I'm so used to cold salsa that it really threw me off, but after a few chips I was wondering why everyone doesn't serve their salsa warm.
Also, there are a pretty decent array of vegetarian options.
All of the staff was nice and attentive. I look forward to returning.

I've been coming to this restaurant since I was a child. Back then it was called Las Chiquita's and was run by an amazing family. The name has changed, but they kept the same cooks and merely added more delicious items to the menu. Try the cheese dip- it is out of this world!

Authentic with big flavones. Love the red pork- spicy+. Usually about 6 things on menu. True home cook'n by owners (Augustine) wife and mother. Über casual.
