Re: “Papa Bob's Bar-B-Que

Outstanding BBQ and sides! There's a wide variety of sauces, because Bob is always tinkering. More than likely Bob will be there walking around talking to customers like they are family. He'll even bring new sauces or other ideas he's working on to let you try. Thanks to an appearance on Man vs. Food, he gets visitors from all over the world. The world map with push pins from visitors is very cool. Last time I was there, a couple from Great Britain were there -- came straight from KCI to Papa Bobs. Good stuff, and easy to get to -- just off K-7 at Highway 32.

Re: “KC Grill N Kabob

If only I could rate at 0 stars. We visited KC grill and Kabob for the first time and last time this Friday. When we were seated we were asked if we would like the buffet or would like to order off the menu. We asked to take a look at the menu where we saw the buffet was priced at $9. Thinking this was a great deal we opted for the buffet. When we got our check we were each charged $12. When I asked our server about the discrepancy she said she would bring back the menu to show me I was mistaken. When she returned the menu the buffet was priced at $9 clear as day but she still refused to fix the ticket. I then asked to speak to the manager who again insisted that I was wrong despite the menu being right in front of us both. This establishment is brazen enough to overcharge you then refuse to correct the mistake when you point out that his menu priced your food about 35% less than what you are being charged. Ultimately I was forced to pay the overpriced bill and I'm currently disputing the charges with my credit card company. A picture of the menu is here judge for yourself: http://a3.urbancdn.com/w/s/PB/8jRfaG2yZgN7hN-640m.jpg

Re: “Gates Barbecue

The Gates BBQ legacy is so sad! You would think that because they opened the same year and with the same level of success as McDonalds opened that they would be more successful then they are. But they are still stuck in 1940. The company has the potential to advance but their management sucks.

Re: “Pork 'N' Pit BBQ

Ive lived in KC for 30yrs. Best pulled pork in town & the fries are great. Ive ate at every bbq place in kc and the surrounding areas and this place is in the top tier. Also just ate there today and they have expanded thier resturant. Good to see them doing good business!

Re: “Pork 'N' Pit BBQ

The Mac & cheese was OK. Maybe some people like fall off the bone mush, but I do not. Worst ribs I have ever had, and I am no novice. Thought I would try it, but it was the biggest waste of $32.00 that I have have EVER made. I am now drinking Alka Seltzers to calm my stomach!!!!

Re: “B.B.'s Lawnside BBQ

Had no problem paying the low cover charge of $5.00 to eat dinner. I was told the money went to the band which was amazing! The BBQ was the best I have had in the city so far and the service was spot on, thank you Allie! I give this place 5 stars because there is no place like this in the city that you can eat great food & see live bands that really know how to put on show! Thanks BB'S!!

Re: “Rosedale Barbeque

One of my favorite BBQ joints. Their ribs are great but I usually settle on a beef brisket sandwich with their crispy fries and wonderful baked beans, finished off with an RC cola.

Re: “Arthur Bryant's Barbecue

A Kansas City institution... very good BBQ. Their sandwiches are enormous and the hot BBQ sauce is one of my favs. Yes, their place is greasy dive, but unlike other posters, I like this as this is how it has always been...

Re: “The Stack BBQ

This restaurant went out of business in December of 2011 but was reopened by two former employees and it's now called The Stack.

Re: “B.B.'s Lawnside BBQ

I've been eating at BB's since they opened in 1990 and have tried most of the items on the menu. They have never let me down on the quality of their brisket, burnt ends, turkey, or sausage. Their fries and beans are very good as well.
