Best food ever. Will miss it.
Really, really good food! Many dishes to choose from on the lunch buffet, very good condiments, and delicious hot chai! Also 3 wonderful Indian beers: Taj Mahal, Flying Horse, and Kingfisher.
Just ate at Taj Palace tonight with my dad for about the fourth time and it is without a doubt my favorite restaurant. The owner and workers are very very nice! The food is very high quality and made with very fresh ingredients. It is always served warm...especially my favorite course (chicken tikka) which comes out sizzling. It is beautifully made with huge chunks of white meat chicken baked with fresh onions and bell peppers with a red sauce. All of their vegetarian and chicken dishes are incredible. The naan is addicting as is their basmati rice.
None of their food feels too heavy or greasy and everything is made very light. There is even a weight watchers portion on the menu. The buffet at lunch is outstanding and very cheap for the great quality and freshness. Even if you order from the menu or at dinner, they give very generous amounts of food..two entrees could easily serve three people with leftovers. I would recommend Taj Palace to anyone...if you are not a spicy food person, neither am I! I love this place because they label what is spicy and hardly any of the entrees are but my boyfriend is a huge hot sauce person and they gladly bring some to your table if the food tastes too mild. It is an excellent restaurant! :)

One of the best buffets anywhere- not large, but well prepared and fresh. Some new dishes every time so its not the same old thing every time. Good, friendly service.

The best of all. The atmosphere is nice for families or for a date-night. They have the best pollo picante, salad, bread and pasta. I highly recommend you order their seafood ravioli or seafood stuffed mushrooms for an appetizer if you like seafood. It is scrumptious!! I have not had my best food there. What you get for your money is a lot of food, well worth what you pay for it. Get there early on a weekend night because it is so good that everyone goes there.

Some of the best Indian food in KC! Everything is very fresh, the staff is amazingly hospitable and friendly, and I am impressed with everything I have eaten there.
