Went on a sunday at 11am... had a 10-15 minute wait for a table as they were FULL...
Wait staff is very eclectic and fun to watch and they did great job. Once seated we placed our order. Took a while to get it, but it was because they were so busy. My wife had one of the daily specials, a Denver Omelet with home fries. I had the Monty Cristo sandwich with home fries. Portions were HUGE. Food was well prepared and well seasoned. I would like to go back on a day when their regular lunch menu was being served to try it.
I would have put less than one star for the rating but the system would not allow it. I am a doctor at a local hospital and I work very late hours. In the past I have called Waffle House to phone in an order to pick up on the way home. After the THIRD call with no answer, I tried calling the "hot line" number for the restaurant.......Yet again......no answer. All I got was a recorded message. I am glad these people DO NOT work in my emergency room at the hospital because our patience's/customer are very important to us.

We are fortunate to work near Le Monde. While we enjoy the Chicken Curry Soup on a regular basis, we are both partial to the Seafood Bisque served on Tuesdays.

The Classic Cookie & Cafe is all about tasty goodness, quality and genuine customer care. Going to their place is always a treat for our family. We always look forward to our weekly stopovers because they provide some of the best treats.
Breakfast is always good. Two favorites are blacken grilled fish served with bread and butter pickles. Meatloaf is about the best next to Grandma's. Homemade melt in your mouth croutons.
One of the best bakeries I've ever been to. I travel over 2 hours to sample the goods. Croissants are perfect...flaky, buttery, just plain great. I've samples the sandwiches also, they too are very good. Well worth the trip.
We made the mistake of giving Harvey House a 2nd chance in Dec 2009.
We also went last year it took them 45 minutes to bring four poached eggs (after they first delivered 3 fried eggs and then 4 hard-boiled eggs).
This time, it took them an hour to bring our food -- and it wasn't even busy. They told us they were no longer serving eggs, even though the sign in the lobby said they now served breakfast all of the time. The hamburger wasn't right, the taco salad was bland, and ALL of the lettuce in the side salad was completely wilted.
They're friendly, and it's a neat atmosphere, but don't go if you want to order food.

After being assured that the perfectly beautiful sugar cookies were made in-house, I tried to eat the most beautiful, worst cookie that I have ever eaten. THE COOKIES ARE NOT MADE IN-HOUSE AND ARE HORRID. I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN...IF THEY LIE ABOUT THE COOKIES...JUST HAVE TO WONDER ABOUT THE REST OF THEIR FOOD.

I recently went to breakfast at the Classic Cup in Kansas City with the staff from my office. I have dairy allergies and ordered a cheeseless veggie omelet and received an omelet with cheese. When pointing this out to the young waiter, he did not look at my omelet but firmly confirmed there was NO cheese on my omelet. Thought maybe I should talk to the manager. She came to the table, did not introduce herself, did not ask what the problem was, but immediately started the conversation with "My chef has been here for years and I believe my chef, if he says there is no cheese on your omelet then there is no cheese". She, too, did not bother to look at my plate. I was astounded! What blatent bad customer service from a MANAGER of a respected local restaurant! So sad, when I can go anywhere in this city, ask for an omelet without cheese and if it comes, have it taken care of professionally. HORRIBLE SERVICE!

Delightful neighborhood deli and Irish novelty store. Why hasn't anyone else written a review, the place has been there since 1887! Just across the street from Penn Valley Community College, the sandwiches are made to order. The best Irish corned beef or roast beef sandwich I've ever had. And the sides are great. Several co-workers love the buttermilk pasta salad, but I go for the Irish red-skin potato salad. Great prices.

1.Cinzettis pizza was so nasty for a place that is suppose to perfect all things Italian. When I called to make a reservation a rude gentlemen answered the phone, I was able to make a reservation though. When we arrived our reservation was not available and we had to wait in the foyer with about 10 other nice sized families. 20 min later we were taken to our seat and greeted by our server who was a very friendly young lady. Food was not good for almost 20 dollars a person, it lacked personality. Very easy to tell the dishes were made in extreme bulk. When I was walking to get a plate for my daughter I heard yelling and cussing and realized it was a boss or manager degrading a Mexican cook because something was burned, I just took my daughter to the desserts and ended the night. I will not go back and do not recommend this corperate money maker, this day in age we should patronize smaller more meaningful local restraunts instead of a giant corp ready to degrade anyone and spit them out as long as bottom dollar is good.

I have been dying to go there since seeing it on Food Network's, Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives. I took a friend, who usually eats out at chain restaurants, to broaden her horizons. It was everything and more of what I was expecting. Artsie and non-pretentious. The decor was real and true and the service was wonderful and refreshing. The food tasted so fresh and delicious I was sad when we ate it all. My friend absolutely loved it and she asked when can I take her back. We will definitely be going back very soon!

Has gone down hill since that last time our family ate here.
I have eaten here in the past for dinner which was perfectly acceptable. We (2 adults, 2 kids) tried breakfast today and I left knowing that I would most likely never come back. The restaurant was busy on Sunday for lunch and after having been in business for several years I would expect that they would be better prepared for a busy Sunday. After a short wait we were seated to our table.
The first strike for me was that their famous biscuits in gravy are not available after 11:00 a.m. even though breakfast is advertised as being served all day. We placed our order after a few minutes. Over 40 minutes later we finally received our order. My order was half incorrect, one my son's order was half complete, and all of the food was between lukewarm to cool. After some reminders to the waitress she finally completed my son's order.
Receiving the food almost cold and after taking such a long time is unacceptable to me as there are other restaurants for me to go to that perform better.

Re: “Classic Cookie”
It's the coziest, most charming place for breakfast or lunch! If you order lunch, you automatically receive a basket of the most delicious muffins & cookies. The place is popular, so we usually wait a bit for a table, but not too long -- and it's always worth it. Such a lovely place with the BEST home cookin'!
