TOTAL DISAPPOINTMENT!!!!! :( IT'S SAD THAT YOU CAN'T PATRONIZE YOUR OWN PEOPLE..... First out in the past I've did business with Vee's sweets and treats. For our wedding renewal we had our cake made here and the cake came out good. BUT on this particular occasion it went all wrong..... I showed the lady a picture of the cake i wanted made and the lady said she could make the cake the exact same way. I then asked her if she wanted me to leave a picture so she would know how to make it and she said no, she didn't need a picture. I paid her up front (100's of $$$) and she refused to give me a receipt. I thought that was very strange because I gave her a couple hundred dollars... A week in a half later I went back to pick up the cake and when it was presented to me, it was far from the cake that I ordered, besides that the cake was smashed in the back and the icing was falling off I told them before I walked out that the cake is not what I wanted and her husband told me that that was the cake I ordered and to take it or leave it and would not give me my money back. I was told if my wife didn't like the cake, she could have a birthday party with out a cake. This was 2 hours before my wives birthday party. When my wife saw the cake she was livid. But there was nothing I could do in such a short time.... COMPLETE DISAPPOINTMENT!! VERY RUDE!! VERY INCONSIDERATE!!! VERY GHETTO ACTING PEOPLE!!!! If I could post pics of the cake on this page I would. On top of everything it wasn't even the right flavor I asked for. My 8 year old could of did better with her easy baked oven. LESSON LEARNED: WILL NEVER PATRONIZE THIS CRACK HEAD ROACH INVESTED FOUL TALKING GHETTO PLACE AGAIN!!!!! AND WILL BE SURE TO LET EVERYONE I KNOW WITH INFLUENCE TO SHUN THIS DESPICABLE PLACE!!!!

Extremely poor customer service. The owners wife acted extremely low class cheap and negative with a bad attitude. My husband and I are never going back. Yuck.

We eat at a lot of Mexican restaurants - Never again here. We had lunch today at Dos de Oros. First we noticed that the chips were fresh out of the bag and cold. The salsa had less spice/heat that tomato soup. We asked if they had a spicier salsa. We got about two tablespoons. That was very good. We had chicken spinach enchilada and fish tacos. Again, no flavor. The meals were over priced by a dollar or two. We are still looking for a neighbor restaurant. Dos de Oros is not it. We have never had such poor Mexican food.

Did you know that when you get food poisoning from something you ate at Avenues Bistro and you call to tell them, their managers call you a liar, tell you they will refund your money and blow you off. When you call 3 times to follow up, they can't be bothered to return your call. Very disappointing and now they have lost a long time customer.

If only I could rate at 0 stars. We visited KC grill and Kabob for the first time and last time this Friday. When we were seated we were asked if we would like the buffet or would like to order off the menu. We asked to take a look at the menu where we saw the buffet was priced at $9. Thinking this was a great deal we opted for the buffet. When we got our check we were each charged $12. When I asked our server about the discrepancy she said she would bring back the menu to show me I was mistaken. When she returned the menu the buffet was priced at $9 clear as day but she still refused to fix the ticket. I then asked to speak to the manager who again insisted that I was wrong despite the menu being right in front of us both. This establishment is brazen enough to overcharge you then refuse to correct the mistake when you point out that his menu priced your food about 35% less than what you are being charged. Ultimately I was forced to pay the overpriced bill and I'm currently disputing the charges with my credit card company. The single worst meal I've eaten in the past decade.

My wife and I swung through Taco Bueno last night around 8:30PM for a few tacos and some chips as we were sort of in a hurry to get to a friend's place to watch a fight on TV.

I ordered 2 veggie burritos, 1 steak soft taco, and some chips n' queso. The price was acceptable - 10 bucks. The gentleman at the window handed us our bag of food and said "Come on back n' see us!". Welp, I can tell you right now that I'll never be "seeing ya" ever again in my life. I'd rather starve to death.

Here are my issues:

- We took the taco/burritos out of the bag, and the paper wrap around them was sopping and dripping like a baby's soiled diaper, all over my car and onto my lap. ALL OF the food was terribly wrapped and sopping all over the place. The burritos weren't even wrapped. It was a loosely soggy mess. The interior of my car is covered in disgusting swampy black beans and sauce. Thanks for that!

-After having to deal with all that, we gave the food a chance. The burritos were filled with bland beans, very little sauce, and overcooked *crunchy* rice. I took about 2 bites and literally threw it out of the window as I passed a raucous Kauffman Stadium. Worst burrito I've ever had. My wife had one bite and tossed hers.

-Then I moved on to the soft steak taco. It was pretty much a Hail Mary at that point because I had just played a rock n' roll show at Blue Springs Fall Fest and probably burned 1000 calories - I was pretty hungry and in need of sustenance. Anyway, the steak taco was cold, bland and flaccid. Just no effort whatsoever put into the preparation or food at all. I realize it's fast food, but we were hoping for a little bit better than Taco Bell. Just for the record, it was worse than any Taco Bell meal I've ever eaten. So, in summary, the Taco and burritos ended up on the George Brett Super Highway.

-The small chips n' queso were ok. Definitely worth the 1.79 we spent on them. The guy at the window was friendly but rushed us out of there. He and whoever was in the kitchen clearly didn't care about the food they were handing out representing your establishment. You were also out of cinnamon chips.

I've got half the mind to call and send Taco Bueno the bill for shampooing and cleaning the interior of my trashed car for the mess their food created. Lazy work. Wlil not be visiting this or ANY Taco Bueno ever again as long as I live.

This place was absolutely terrible. When we arrived, there were several people waiting to be seated, yet there were no employees up front to help them. After about 10 minutes, some one showed up and started taking people to tables. After we were seated it took an additional 10 minutes for a server to come take our order. 15 minutes later she came back to tell us that she had lost our orders, so we had to order a second time. When our food finally arrived, it looked disgusting, and tasted bland. I will never be returning to this restaurant, and I suggest anyone thinking about going to stay well clear.

This restaurant asked a very loyal customer to not return due to his Alzheimer wife having a mishap in the bathroom. The owner claims to be a Christian man but I don't know too many Christians who do not have sympathy or respect for anyone with this debilitating disease. I can only hope he or his wife never suffer the embarrassing disgrace that he put this lovely couple through. STAY AWAY from this restaurant. They do not care for their patronages.

Not only is their food horrible, they have the rudest staff!! Very unfriendly and they charge 18% gratuity to your bill when it is un deserving. I DO NOT recommend this place!!!

This place does not want to serve African-Americans. Please do not support Margaritas. Me and my family was told we would not be served and could not come back simply because we wanted an exchange and was not happy with the food or service and another group of African-Americans that sat next to us was treated the same way.

The Mac & cheese was OK. Maybe some people like fall off the bone mush, but I do not. Worst ribs I have ever had, and I am no novice. Thought I would try it, but it was the biggest waste of $32.00 that I have have EVER made. I am now drinking Alka Seltzers to calm my stomach!!!!

Our family had dinner in McCormick & Schmick (Kansas City) and did not have a good time. Besides being placed at the wrong table (we reserved a window table), our food order being short changed (we ordered a side of mashed potatoes and did not receive them) and our meal was cooked incorrectly (salmon was requested medium rare and came out medium well done), we received no bread (whereas the tables around us all received bread) and being billed for horderves that we did not order (the horderves that the table next to us ordered and ate).
The above dinner made us all sickly between 30 and 90 minutes after we left the restaurant. Emailing the restaurant the next day resulted in a no response. It was not until I contacted corporate that they called and apologized.
The bottom line is their food, service, and customer service is miserable. I will never step foot in another McCormick again.

Please do not patronize Hamburger Mary's.

A few months back we were at a Hamburger Mary's BearBust having a great time. Normally we just pay in cash throughout the night, but since we hadn't gone to the ATM, the bartenders on the upper patio suggested we open a tab. We did. At the end of the evening, I asked the bartender what our tab was and he said it was $89. When checking our bank account, we noticed that our bill, which was $89 on the receipt I signed plus tip was showing on the account twice (one at $89 and the other at $99)

We waited a day or so to see if the second charge would be removed and it wasn't. We therefore disputed the charge with the bank. It was resolved with the smaller of the two charges being refunded to our account.

Today, we were at Hamburger Mary's. Had lunch and was enjoying beers and time with friends on the patio and were approached by the two bartenders from the upper patio who suggested we open a tab. We were told that we were no longer welcomed there due to a "conflict of interest". They said this was at the direction of the manager. After repeated requests, we were never able to talk to the manager directly. In fact, it was almost as if they were trying to avoid having to get the manager.

So, I would urge everyone to check your account statement when using your credit or ATM cards at Hamburger Mary's. Particularly upstairs. I originally just chalked this up to some sort of mistake. They happen. But after being approached and "tossed out" by the two bartenders who also were involved with the disputed charge, I fear there may be something more sinister happening. I hope I am wrong, but the situation is really odd to me.

I hope we all may find some other place to enjoy time with friends.

I am writing this review based on a very recent experience at Tower Tavern. This review is relevant to how poorly the staff treats their customers especially when they are favoring bar patrons who are friends of the staff and owner. This establishment supports domestic violence. Especially, one of the owners who is a corrupt, chauvinistic drunk who will publicly humiliate you with unscrupulous lies in order to protect his drunken investments who regularly feeds his insatiable alcoholic cravings. He has no regard for human decency or women. The owner that I speak of is the geeky drunk with the glasses, Grant, that stands on the side of the bar getting loaded with other bar patrons. If you don't mind this type of behavior, then kudos to you. However, if you have any decency and respect for women, then I suggest that you stay out of this place. Domestic violence should not be tolerated. As a business, Tower Tavern should do what is best to make sure that people are not being abused by their partners. It is not acceptable to humiliate anyone any more than what their abuser has already done, even if you are friends of the abuser.

Overpriced, inconsistent quality. This was our favorite place for many years but not anymore. "Attire, business casual" is a joke. Bermudas and "T" shirts are common and the noise level is so loud, we could carry on a conversation only by almost shouting. Won't go back.

TLDR version: Be cautious using debit or credit cards here. I recommend paying only with cash, especially if your transaction is under the minimum $10. Ask for a receipt and check it before you leave.

I was very disappointed with my experience at Bloom yesterday. They were quite busy, which is normal for a Saturday morning. I realized as I was in line that I didn't have any cash with me. I asked the gentleman behind the counter whether they take debit cards, and he responded affirmatively but did not mention that there is a $10 minimum card charge. I didn't discover this until I got to the register, prepared food in hand, and my total was only $8.36.

I quickly asked the woman working the register what else I could easily add to the transaction to get over the minimum amount. She told me not to worry about it and she ran my card. I really appreciated this and thought it was very nice of this small local company to give a customer a break in a pinch. I wasn't offered a receipt, but I figured it wasn't important and I didn't want to delay the long line any further, so I collected my purchases and left. I actually walked away thinking happily that this was a great example of the terrific service that small businesses are able to offer their customers.

Not so fast!

Today I logged in to balance my bank activity and realized that rather than giving me a break on being short of the minimum transaction amount, the employee at the register had simply added $2 to my total and charged me $10.36 for my items, without asking me if this was OK, or allowing me to quickly select something like a baguette to tip me over the minimum. It's only two dollars, I realize, which is far from a large amount, but in principle it's incredibly offensive to have been treated this way.

Eight dollars is pretty hefty for a croissant and small coffee to begin with. The two dollar involuntary tip makes the price more or less unconscionable.

I would like to give this business the benefit of a doubt and assume that their employees have not been specifically trained to do this, but regardless, I will certainly never return to Bloom on the basis of this experience. Their food, although dramatically overpriced, is excellent. But unless you're paying with cash I would be very wary of them.

Expensive, tasteless meat in the burger. Very poor service. Server neglected many times to stop and ask if we needed anything from condiments to drinks. Had to hail him down like you would a cabbie in New York. My money is better spent elsewhere. Not planning on returning. Work too hard for my money..
