Re: “Classic Cookie

It's the coziest, most charming place for breakfast or lunch! If you order lunch, you automatically receive a basket of the most delicious muffins & cookies. The place is popular, so we usually wait a bit for a table, but not too long -- and it's always worth it. Such a lovely place with the BEST home cookin'!

Re: “Domo Sushi & Grill

I've been to Domo several times and can't get enough! I've never had to wait, and their servers are very attentive and happy to answer any questions. Don't forget to ask about their roll of the day or even request your own. Their chef seems to enjoy customers who challenge him with a made-to-order roll, so we had fun creating our own. But their existing menu never fails us. We've tried tons of the rolls, and dig them all. The house salads are good, too. Just love this place! The atmosphere, the service and especially the food.

Re: “Nelle Belle's Diner

Maybe not what some would call a "5 star restuarant" but it's a class act little diner. I eat there a couple of times a week. Today there was a family of tourist taking a lunch break from visiting Worlds of Fun, the local mailman, employees from Ford plant, and electricians from KCPL who were working in the area along with "regulars". All tables have ashtrays so this could be a problem for some. Good food and good service with history and style do it for me.

Re: “Wilson's Pizza and Grill

By far one of the most over-looked and under-rated pizza joint's in the Kansas City area, this is a nostalgic place for me and my family because we have been eating here for years. We have lived all over the Kansas City area both KS, and MO and Wilson's pizza is a true gem. The toppings are generous and hardy with full flavor. The crust is home made and never doughy. The best part is the location it's in the historically African American neighbor and community of Quindaro, a community that has without a doubt has a personality of it's own. Despite the negative stigma that has been attached to the neighborhood its a truly beautiful and strong area of the city with hardworking and decent residents who are easy going and proud of their heritage and groundbreaking history such as the first Black owned and ran hotel west of the Mississippi being opened just feet from the Missouri River and one can still see ruins of its foundation and structure, also this area of the city is a known and documented safe passage of the underground railroad with ruins of safe houses still present to this day and where many of the neighborhood kids may have unknowingly played at. So Wilsons Pizza is a diamond in ruff and for those naive enough to let reputation keep you from experiencing a real part of history in your own city, i say broaden you horizons through experience and enough an establishment that has been servicing the community for over 20 years.

Re: “Piccadilly Cafeteria - CLOSED

From all I have seen, read, and experienced in a lifetime of eating at Picadilly as I have traveled throughout the Midwest, and southeast, I not only have been pleased with the quality (and quantity) but also the price. Great food and service.

Re: “Dave's Bakery & Deli

I liked Dave's top; it was nice. I liked Dave's apron; it was clean. I liked Dave's breath; it was fresh. I liked Dave's face; although, it looked mean! I ordered from the top: I like the right price. I ordered with aplomb; I like to look keen! The waitress: coquettish? It wasn't me she'd seen [ :( ]. n' above all else (!), the prices were lien.
