Re: “Sung Son

The Pho was delicious as well as the Bun. I was thoroughly satisfied by my trip here. The Pho was so comforting to eat even on hot night. I can only imagine how good it will be during the winter

Re: “Boulevard Drive-In Theatre

This has such history to it, you can defenitly feel it in the air :-) which just makes the whole drive-in experience that much more fantastic! My husband and I have been going to the drive-in for the past three years, as it's for one the only way we can see a new movie with a two year old and a eight month old, it's also the cheapest for admission, food and drink, and if they kids act up, you are in your own car. You don't need to attach the little speakers to your windows anymore as you can get it through your car stereo, and this particular drive-in is the first drive-in to have digital sound, and if you have a pretty standard car stereo it still sounds pretty fantastic. This drive-in in particular is great when you go to get some food and drink because inside the concession it has the whole history of the Boulavard, which just makes the whole experience great. Admission and food is excellent for families who desparetly needing a night out of the house and who are on a tight budgett, kids under I think 10 or 11yrs old are free, and you can't beat that!!!!! I seriously do not understand why drive-in theatres are not more popular considering the way the economy is going right now, especially for families who don't want to drag there little ones of to the movie theatre and not wanting to bother other patrons with a screaming kid, but seriously wanting to just sit down and watch a movie on a big screen with surround sound, and getting out of the house. At least with a drive-in theatre it's lots of fun, budgett freindly (admission and food, drink), and in the privacy of your own car. The boulavard also has a small playground for the kids to play in while everyone is getting settled before the movie starts.

Re: “Blanc Burgers & Bottles

I went there for lunch with a friend it was really good! I had the spicy lentil burger with the butter leaf salad (It was sooooo delicious, the flavor was soooooo great!) and my friend had the turkey burger with a milkshake, she loved hers too! The owner came by several times to chat with us. He was very very nice. Our server was nice but as attentive and I'm thinking it may have been because they were quite busy at the time. She snipped at me once when I asked for the check but again, I think it may have been because they were busy. I would love to go back again it was a good value for everything you get.

Re: “Chefburger - CLOSED

Too bad they abandoned the BYO burger concept, but what's left is a great selection of high-end burgers (including chicken, turkey, and nblack-bean veggie) without the sit-down wait. The sweet potato fries, spiked shakes, and draft Boulevard are big pluses. You can easily drop $20, but after a few tries you'll discover a single burger is plenty for the average appetite.

Re: “One80 - CLOSED

Food is very good. Great for brunch or lunch mid week if your able to. I had grandma's french toast for brunch and it's the best french toast I've ever had. The goat cheese truffles they have is very good. And I was suprised to actually like their stuffed dates. As for the dinner I had there...for a friday night, it's way way to busy for a tiny place and the waiter took forever to take our order even when he wasn't busy. I ordered creme brulee for desert. They brought it out and it looked dark but thought it was the lighting. It was burnt on top. When I asked for another one because it was charred he looked at me like I was crazy and about said something. I told him "okey, I know it's supposed to be torched on top...but this is charred, it tastes burnt" He got me a new one and it was much better. Overall, I really would rather come here during the day for lunch and brunch specials when I get the chance. The waiteresses in the day are much better.

Re: “The Mixx

I fell in love with the Tarragon Chicken salad sandwich! And I normally hate chicken salad! And there is a soup I don't remember the name of but it's tomato based with artichokes I think. It was out of this world. But the chicken salad is out of the universe. Love love love it. I've been craving it ever since. I had a salad with the pear-ginger vinagerette and it was very unique and yummy. Tomato basil soup I was rather impressed with too. I'll eat just about anywhere I like...but some of these restraunts down around the plaza and westport that are Non-chain...are the best I've had.

Re: “Harry's Country Club

Great service and drinks as always. Ordered our steaks medium and both were well done. They weren't burnt and were edible, but they sure were not medium. Not the slightest hint of pink in the middle. We sat at the bar and there was a lady smoking clove cigarettes. Of course this is out of the bar's control, but the lady chain smoked the whole way through our dinner. If you order the nicely (very affordable) priced KC Strip, have the server educate the cook on how you want your steak cooked. I know they aren't a steak house, but hey, it's KC, everyone should know how to grill a steak!

Re: “T.J.'s Café

I forgot to mention in my previous review that they do take credit cards now too. So even though it's an old fashion cafe enviornment they can service non-cash carrying customers. Scott

Re: “T.J.'s Café

I work in the Grandview area, and TJ's has become one of my favorite lunch spots. Breakfast and soup are two of my favorite foods, which just happens to be two things that TJ's specializes in. The thing I want to mention here is their soups. Plain and simple they have a soup artist working for them. Their soup ranges from vegatable beef, potatoe, beef barely and they are even better with a grill cheese on the side. But let me tell you folks, their soup is almost the best I've ever had. It's just the right consistency, with fresh ingredients, and seasoned just right. It is seriously delicious. But that's not all this place does good, they smoke briscuit, make a mean breakfast any time of day, and have an assortment of pies for dessert. Hands down my compliments to the chef, and the rest of the staff who care and so much and give such a wonderful gift of their talent to the world! Thanks, Scott Food/Soup Connoisseur

Re: “Location-less Comments

Fabulous value for mid range dining in Olathe! Fresh, made to order 'healthy' Asian food... and some killer signature drinks! The General Tzao's is the best in town and the Cashew Chicken is a personal favorite. Don't miss this one...try it out. Full, extensive menu but they will make a personalized dish as well. Fun mod space - and live music on the patio in good weather is a great time/

Re: “Los Tules Mexican Restaurant

I've been coming to this restaurant since I was a child. Back then it was called Las Chiquita's and was run by an amazing family. The name has changed, but they kept the same cooks and merely added more delicious items to the menu. Try the cheese dip- it is out of this world!

Re: “Location-less Comments

Great Chinese in the northland! I ordered Szechuan chicken (not on the menu, but they made it for me anyway) and it was great, prepared perfectly! This place is rated $$, $$$, but I think the value is great. I got soup, egg rolls, and dinner for $11 and change. That’s a great deal to me! They also have lunch specials for about $5. I'm eager to try their other menu items!!

Re: “Blue Koi

Good food but the customer service needs work! I made reservations for 7 at 6:30pm. Seating was almost immediate. Our waitress was efficient and knowledgeable. The spicy chili meat wantons were outstanding! The Pot Roast wast tasty and very tender as always. I had the Ants in a Tree. That dish is slightly spicy/sweet and I even make it at home sometimes. The shrimp in black bean sauce was ordered also and was very good. BUT..... My son ordred the pork wraps or pork infusion. The pork was marinated in a peanut sauce. He did not like it at all. I tried the meat and it was tender but almost tasteless. The waitress took the dish back and he ordered pork dumplings which he loved. Overall the evening was very good except for the fact that they would not take my sons dish that was sent back off the bill! I was not in the mood to ruin a good evening by arguing, but I knew I would get the word out about this error in customer service. I love: Ants in a Tree Chinese Pot Roast spicy Chili Wantons I do not care for: The tapioca beads in my tea! The Mango ice cream tastes like Mango/Celery ice cream.
