I dug this place when I went. It's got two areas, a front room for dancing and a back room for chilling. I was only there for an hour dancing, but had a good time.
Katie...check out my Facebook wall for the truth about James and I ..we never stopped seeing, or making love to one another. He calls u Krazy.. That's your contact name in his phone..LMAO
Instant/fountain tea and cheese SAUCE versus real cheese on their baked potato fries. Ruined what would have been a good meal (good burgers). Used to be better.
Nobody's Bidnis wants to thank all of our friends that came out and joined us at Sherlock's Underground last night. We had a great time! I just wanted to give a well deserved shout out to Bill, the owner of Sherlock's. It's located in Liberty, MO at 291 and Brown street next to Price Chopper and Sutherland's Lumber. He's taken this hole in the wall, made it into a BEAUTIFUL place with a GREAT atmosphere and , now, he's recently partnered with Big Willie who's a BAD-ASS back in the kitchen making some of the BEST smoked meats and BBQ I've EVER tasted! Those who know me know I'm a foodie and I don't give high praise easily, especially for BBQ...but WOW! (Wille, are you married? ;-) )
After the first smoked and perfectly seasoned drummie I wanted to sit out and eat all night!! I made sure to order extra to take home and I'm just counting the minutes until lunchtime so I can tear into it.....yum! Other friends tried their smoked turkey sandwich and the "Big Willie" which consisted of TWO buns, pulled pork, beans (to die for) and slaw and both got RAVE reviews. To make it even better..the prices were VERY reasonable. All I can say is Big Willie sure knows how to give out the big "O" when it comes to BBQ! (I'm serious Willie-call me! ;-O )
Sherlock's = Great atmosphere, Hot Blues and FANTASTIC food!! A home run combo in my book. BTW....Bill also takes care of his smokers with a really nice patio with a warm, enclosed area for the winter time. Thanks again Bill for a great evening! You're doing EVERYTHING right. North of the river, it's THE place to go!
Some of the best Indian food in KC! Everything is very fresh, the staff is amazingly hospitable and friendly, and I am impressed with everything I have eaten there.
The two male owners are not arrogant and rude. They are grown, twins, who look alike, but if you've known them long, easy to tell apart. There is live music, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Something for most people. Thursday nights, it's the "old folks" dancing to Country. Friday and Saturday nights, it's usually Classic Rock. Sunday, late afternoon is a jam, and you might hear anything. Good food, great place to just have a good time!
Good food, fair drink prices good atmosphere.
This is gem of a spot in a reviving neighborhood. This bar features a wide selection of drinks including an expansive list of cocktails. The food is top-rate and they spare no expense on ingredients from the chips & salsa to the grilled paninis and their specialty pizzas on artisan flat-bread. The back of the club is a wonderful, intimate space used for music, poetry, comedy and just about any other kind of performing art there is. There is a huge emphasis on promoting local talented artists (including the art hanging on the walls). They also have an upstairs bar available for events and the balcony allows you to enjoy a smoke without missing out on the music.
Be prepared to be robbed and ignored,if your lucky maybe just lied too and treated with contempt.
We started dining at this restaurant one week after it opened and continued to do so - when the Mission Rd. location opened we were there at least twice weekly - there is nothing but good things to say about this place with Joe Birch and his gang of chefs, bartenders, waiters-waitresses - food is excellent - price - what more could you expect - we love this place and will continue to a part of it - Grant Scott and Noel
We moved in October 2012. We are now located at 9400 Pflumm, Lenexa KS 66215-3308. (The former Don Bonjour Elementary School). We have the same phone number and our website is: www.smuuchurch.org
Went with my friends, the supposed owner decided to kick us out because we were eating from the dart tournament food, we thought it was for everyone! RUDE AND OBNOXIOUS owner and dart tournament people ran us out! We were embarrassed and put out, I can't believe there are people out there like that!!!!
The worst gay bar ever! GO ELSEWHERE!!!!! The self proclaimed "owner" decided to lay his hands on my husband, because he ate from the food for the dart tournament! The sad part is we had been there many many times before, but the guy who decided to commit assault against my husband, had food out for the lame dart tournament, when he announced it was for the tournament only, he became rude and laid his hands on my husband. Became rude and disrespectful, cursed and cussed at my husband and we had to leave! HOMOPHOBIC! they are for only the locals, god forbid you are not a "LOCAL". They will let you know and ask you to leave, GAY OR NOT!!!
So did Rick write the "Best show in town. Rick rocks!" review? Five stars, you can't be serious. He has always been a wanna be and will always be one. He knows nothing about entertaining and tries to convince others that he has a great career. He has broken all chances of ever working with the upper quality musicians and entertainers and now tries to find inexperienced people who don't know him and convince them he is someone great who is about to make it really big. A great example of no talent.
Reheated leftovers with a side of credit card fraud
In the late afternoon, their entire menu (what little of it they actually have on offer) is apparently leftovers from the lunch rush reheated out of the fridge. And if you decide that you don't find this prospect particularly appealing, you see on your bank statement that you were charged over $40 for a couple soft drinks ordered before you discovered the "quality" of the food and decided to pay up and leave. Stay away. Stay far, far away.
Journey through rivers and landscapes and Rodin shows at Nelson are killer. I have not seen better at the Nelson in decades.
If you are being treated like a second-class citizen, feel uncomfortable during the meal you paid for, and find yourself dealing with unpleasant management, then you must have found yourself in Saigon 39. The owner seems to have a giant problem with humankind in general, and it makes for a very inhospitable atmosphere. Wish I could say the food somehow made up for all that, but no. Vietnam Cafe is equally as good, if not better- and hey- they don't treat you like scum! Guess I know where my next Vietnam-fix will be.
Re: “R.G.'s Lounge”
Don't know the owner so can't Comment. The waitresses are very slow however. Seem to want to hang out where the drinks are served at a side bar.
