Love this Pub! The laid back environment is perfect for our, Girls Night Out!! We can have a night out and not be worried about shady men approaching us. The crowds are mainly regulars, who are respectable and fun or new interesting out-of-towners because of the location. I would definitely recommend this establishment.

My last visit to Trio was about a week ago and the entire experience was typical - exceptional food & service. Took a business associate for drinks after work and since he is also a Trio fan as well -neither of us needed to be impressed, but we were. Cocktails were created exactly as we ordered them [both of us just a tad fussy] and we shared the hummus plate appetizer as well as the Seared Ahi Tuna small plate. The new Asian style preparation with tuna sesame encrusted and served over a bed of soba noodles & fresh seaweed salad is light & refreshing for a hot summer evening. And our service was attentive and friendly despite the demanding happy hour crowd and heat. It's my go to spot for business lunches & dinners.

Best authentic Mexican food in town. Period. Staff is always super friendly and attentive and salsa bar is great. Huge food portions and small prices top it all off. The family and I were eating here the other evening and I decided to try the steakburger for the first time (I could never bring myself to order it because the other food is always so good). Well, I ordered the double and when it got to me my jaw dropped. Two half pound patties! It was huge, juicy and full of flavor! With fresh lettuce, onion and tomato, I needed no other condiments. Now not only is this my favorite spot for Mexican, but for burgers too! I guess I have to go twice as often now!
Starlight is one of a kind. I would say it is the best outdoor venue in Kansas City. The staff is amazing, crowd control, and traffic control is always perfect too.

Our group of 12 ladies had happy hour at Cafe Trio on a Tuesday evening! What a great time! Half price wine and the service was perfect! We didn't order any entrees (little too pricey for us) but had a bunch of their small plates and appetizers which was just yummy! Will definitely be back for happy hour and dinner soon.
I went there last Saturday and had a fantastic time. They have a sushi happy hour - 5 different rolls are 50% off. The food was great and the stage (in the bar) was cool too. All kinds of beer from all over the world too. They have singing waiters & waitress' and a pianist. Rachel (our server) was so talented she blew us away. She belongs on Broadway. We will go again.
Love this place! Very classy and the service staff is so very personable. We sat on the deck overlooking the plaza and had the best evening out in a long time. The food was fantastic and the drinks are fun. By far the best restaurant on the plaza!
Cafe Trio is one of Kansas City's very best locally owned restaurants. It has become my family's "go to" restaurant to entertain friends and guests from out of town - and I love the combination of local art, music and food. If you get a chance try to get a table on the patio that overlooks the Plaza (if its not too hot).
Always comfortable and a great place to relax. Good music, good beverages, and a welcoming atmosphere.

I personally LOVE Blanc. The hostesses at the Leawood location are always so friendly and charming! The restaurant is busy every time I go, so I can see why most of the reviewers mentioned curt waiters. The flavor and unique presentation (the fun shopping-cart fry holders) can only be found at Blanc. I highly, highly recommend Blanc if you want to experience unique and delicious Kansas City cuisine.
Great venue for live music and hanging with friends...and the wife too of course! :-)
Best home cooking since mama's. Great pricing, friendly staff. Always have the best pie's and cakes if your full get a piece to go. Tuesday they have .70 cent taco's cheaper than taco Bell and alot better. GOT TO TRY THIS PLACE.
