Re: “Life's a Cabaret at Flo's

How does this not violate separation of church and state. Since when does a taxpayer have to get permission from a church? I would call the ACLU. I don't think a bar should be open during schools hours. But, a church leader should not be able to decide this. If he wants to he should have to get elected first.

Re: “Roger Waters at the Sprint Center

I'm sorry, but these pictures absolutely suck. I took better pictures and have a more accurate representation of what roger's show was with my 9mp sony. What is interesting about singers pointing? the picture of the kids is cute, but you totally loose the teacher to obscurity. This show was large in scale and very visual and you got NONE of that. Good couple shots of Roger. the pic of the singers should be off angle so they dont have mics for noses and mouths. Scott Spychalski seriously needs to work on his craft. I'm sorry to be so rude, but I expect more, we all deserve more. The show itself deserves more.

Antennas Up. It's not possessive, it's plural.

Re: “Roger Waters at the Sprint Center

Roger Waters put on a fantastic show, I was fortunate enough to get floor seats up close. The music, the stage show and the band was outstanding, two thumbs up! I hope we are fortunate enough to see Floyd live in the near future.

Re: “"That'll Do Pig": Bacon Fest 2010

Harry, bacon does not make people fat; it's the pancakes and cereal and breads and other *carbage* that folks eat along with it that put on the pounds in most cases (YRMV). Increase lean protein, limit simple carbs and sugars, and increase exercise, and weight normalizes like mine finally is doing. Got metabolic syndrome? "Lean" bacon satisfies the beast within. ;]

Re: “Kitchen Ink: Kansas City chefs show off their tattoos

A fine example of a great concept with really poor execution. Half of these tats are just bad, and the photo's of them aren't much better. At what point do you realize that the concept you had in mind wasn't going to deliver, yet you feel obligated to run these photo's because the chef's took time out of their day to get photographed? Next time take the time to find more chef's with better tattoo work, and have the guts to eliminate the photo's that just don't work. If you wind up scrapping the entire piece, so be it.

Re: “Rock N Fashion Show at Crosstown Station 11/14

For more information contact 3sixtypr@gmx.com JIMI HENDRIX MURDERED? “NOT IMPROBABLE” SAYS NOEL REDDING... The name Jimi Hendrix conjures up some of the most colourful and wildest moments that the sixties produced. Hendrix arrived, he conquered and took the music world by storm, got inside your head and went onto the great gig in the sky - all by the age of 27. The Jimi Hendrix Experience , left you in no doubt that it was exactly that – an experience. A trio of musicians who came together from both sides of the Atlantic and found common ground, fame and for one third of the group not very much fortune. For Noel Redding the bass player in the group the experience was not to be forgotten. Since the death of Hendrix 40 years ago, much as been documented about him and the group. Looking back to the sixties and you could be thinking you are on another planet. Any history relating to that period is taken up with music and culture. The Jimi Hendrix Experience played it's part. Making a timely appearance is a DVD that is being put out by Discs International, containing a never before seen interview with Noel Redding recorded at his home in Ireland in 1988. It makes fascinating viewing. All the years of seeing film of them in concert and photographs of Hendrix, Redding and Mitchell, you find yourself sitting in a living room not with just a legend – but an ordinary guy talking about his early days with the group. No rock star here, no pretentious name dropping, just plain talking. Listening to him you are left wondering how they made it to top. I asked producer Will Scally who had the foresight to record this interview how it all came about. “ I had known and been friends with Noel for many years and always found him a very upfront, straightforward guy. We often spoke about doing an interview, he wanted to speak about the band, money, drugs and the death of Hendrix and much more – even speaking about the possibility of Hendrix being murdered. He was on good form that day and wanted to record this for posterity. Sadly Noel Redding died back in 2003 aged 57 For those interested in Hendrix, Redding and the history of sixties rock music this rare visual documentary should not be missed.
