I don't know about their pork but the meal I had at Oklahoma Joe's ( brisket sandwich, fries, beans, and spicy slaw ) was all rather ordinary. Too much hype and too little great barbeque.
These are definitely good and this place is a lesser known BBQ joint, but a must try. My sub category of this vote - Best Lamb ribs - Jack Stack all day.

Actually jimmie you may want to check your facts. There are people on the qualified list that have never stepped into a lees summit bar. And secondly those bars you speak of didn't pay and the players are still getting to play. Just because you didn't qualify doesn't mean others didn't as well.
Do you know PokerKnights took money from 2 local bars to conduct tournaments then did not include those players that qualified for the quarterly $1500. tournament they scheduled to be played on 1-27-13.
Hangers is a terrible dry cleaner. I sent a lot of expensive clothing to them, only to have many of the shirts returned with buttons missing or broken and stretched out. I called to speak with the manager about what I discovered and was told that what happened was impossible. He also told me that he never heard of the brands of clothing so he had no reference as to whether they were stretched out or not. I told him to go check at Halls, Saks, or Nordstroms to make comparisons. Again I was told that it was impossible and they would clean the clothing again and send the items back. Gucci, G-Star, Michael Kors, and various other shirts; ALL DAMAGED. F you Hangers.

LOVE the atmosphere! The bar/restaurant has a great vibe for business lunches AND after work/evening cocktails. I've only had a few things from the menu, but found the choices unique and well executed. I just love the design of it all, so comfortable but cosmopolitan in a chic "throw back" decor reminiscent of the late 60's or early 70's.
I've had the pleasure of staying in the hotel as a guest one night and LOVED it. All the staff I encountered seemed very friendly and welcome, and it had a very comfortable "make-yourself-at-home" feeling, more than I would have expected from a boutique hotel. My top pick for a weekend 'stay-cation'!
I have had the personal pleasure of enjoying a few of the Fig Tree desserts....and will embarrassingly admit that I would replace ANY meal with any one of them! I didn't consider myself a big dessert fan until I tried their bread pudding and a couple of other things that I don't even remember what they called - but I do remember the chocolate & peanut butter and chocolate & nutella. OMG. DEC-A-DENT!
They serve dishes that are made with fresh and LOCAL ingredients and believe in what they do - so refreshing for KC! I'm jealous of those who live close by, so much better than the cookie-cutter franchises that dominate the suburbs!
