Re: “Best Sports Personality

I don't know anybody that can can stand the guy. Not sure who was responsible for deciding the winners of these categories, but it wasn't somebody that knows or appreciates sports and sports talk radio. He's a Jim Rome wanna-be, but dresses like an Ali G wanna-be. I can't stand anything about him and don't get how he could even be considered in the top 3. When you have to talk down about your competition as Nick does with 810 it's usually because you know your product doesn't measure up. Ever hear anybody from 810 mention 610? Don't have to. They're an also ran and nothing more. That's why they have to constantly shuffle their staff around. All the time it is "the NEW 610 radio!" It's what you have to do when the old 610 constantly sucks and is buried by the competition. Just save some face and have some self respect..........go back to country. It's the only thing that station has been successful at.

Rob was a great friend of mine in high school. Great guy! I am so happy for his success and hope he continues to follow his dreams!

Re: “Best Place to Jog

As long as you don't mind the drug addicts, prostitutes, drug dealers, and gang bangers that frequent the park it is a wonderful place to jog.

Re: “Best Sports Personality

I listen to 610 at work and everytime this guy comes on I have to turn it off. He is even worse than listening to JIm Rome which I didn't think was possible. Rackem

Re: “Best Sports Personality

The name of Nick's show is right on!
Nick's the most balanced, non-bias sports guy in radio.
I LOVE THIS SHOW!!
It took me a week to understand this, but I'm hooked now brother!

Re: “Best Run

How did all you runners like the run/walk/ at the Kansas City Zoo this year.
I remember taking great pride in preparing the site in the 7 + years at the zoo. If you only know one thing - running
I can show you some paths to take off... this time of year we do snow removal over some 3.5 miles of public paths.
There is no better time to get a feel for the terrain than to walk it first after a light snow.
Walk before you run.

Re: “Best Boxer -- Male

We went to ORU and played basketball on the same team.
Ty was our biggest strongest man and he went on to use that heigth and reach advantage in professional boxing.
Good luck.

Re: “Best Sports Personality

I wish a reporter would ask Todd Haley two questions:

#1.Did your golf coach scream obscenities at the team when you or a golf teammate screwed up a shot?

#2. When are you going to try out at those 22 players off the street?

Re: “Best Bowler

300 still means quite alot. We had channel nine out here the Kansas City Star. We created a plaque with her Newspaper article on it and presented it to her. Her story and picture has been on the home page of our company's intranet for a month now. So it's still a huge feat because it doesn't happen everyday. As far as the shot it's USBC sanctioned and will within regulation. Ollie is a great person and a good bowler, she deserves the rock star treatment she has received. It's just like any other sport you must practice to improve.

Re: “Best Sports Personality

So everyone that listens to Nick Wright pretty much can't stand the guy. Somehow you give him an award, which is hilarious, but in fairness to those that can't stand the guy (pretty much everyone) shouldn't that have been reported too?
