I tried this restaurant when they first opened and they had been written up in the Pitch. I thought it would be a welcome treat to have a semi-authentic Mexican Restaurant in South JoCo. Boy was I disappointed. The owner insulted our group before we even had a chance to order a drink or look at the menu by going into a rant and by telling us "you don't know anything about Mexican food" and "we don't serve yellow cheese here". Wow, not "welcome to our restaurant, we're thankful you're here let us tell you about our food, what can get you to drink". The four of us decided to order anyway, and all order something different so we could all try different food. Well one out of 4 dishes were decent. We decided it wasn't worth the effort, time or money to come back to an establishment that insults you the minute you get in the door......we can get that from TSA at the airport.

YUM! The fleur de sel flavor is the most amazing ice cream I have ever had! I am not an ice cream lover but this ice cream I could eat everyday for the rest of my life!
The prices are not only great but so is the food. Very rarely is the chef actually at the restaurant let alone do they come out and talk to each and every diner. The restaurant is very small and cozy and the food warms your soul. The crispy pork shoulder is amazing and so is the salmon on pain perdue! Chef Tio welcomes each diner and you can feel that she truly cares about the food she puts out. It's such a rare treat to have amazing food, with great prices and to also meet the chef.

I have not found any good cinnamon rolls in Kansas until now.The best cinnamon and orange cranberry sweet rolls I have ever had in my life. So yummy,so buttery. For those of you that complain about the hours...you are smart enough to post a comment,so you should be smart enough to go to thier website and see the days and hours they are open.

I can't agree more. The food at Fud is always amazing - best vegan food it town, which is not to denigrate the other venues. You just can't beat this cuisine and any day I can make it over there for lunch is a special one. Go. Now.

Odd events. The patio was full so the kitchen was slow. From the time we sat down to the time our food hit the table....one hour exactly. When we noticed lip stick on one of our wine glasses the server poured the wine from the old glass into a new one...gross. and it wasn't even a very healthy pour. The food was good, but not great, this is not a place that we are rushing to get back to.
