Are you serious? This was one of the worst meals my wife and I have had and my wife loves going out for breakfast, so we have a lot to compare to. Making a bad breakfast takes a special kind of talent, and Cook Shack Cafe has it. I had coffee, Ribeye omlet, hash browns, and toast. The butter on the toast tasted oily/cheap. The ribeye had a horrible marrinade (God I hope the funky taste was from a marrinade) and so much fat/grissle, I gave up on it. The hash browns were okay and so was the coffee. My wife had bisquits and gravy. The saussage in the gravy tasted like it was from a can, and the gravy had no flavor. Not even adding salt and pepper helped. Her potatoes were okay.
I should have known what I was in for when the writer of this article compares this place to McDonalds, but justifies Cook Shack charging more since the food is brought to you.
It would have been really helpful to let the readers know that they can usually find Boyle's at local KC groceries stores; not at the address you provided in the published article.

I have known Wally and Martha through their son Manfred. This family has history migrating from Germany to Canada to United States. Their pastries and wedding cakes are definitely the finest in the KC area. I recommend them for corporate events and any events that require catering.

though the Leawood location is closer in spirit to the Plaza's upscale Capital Grille than a brawny Windy City steak joint. But if you're going to pay more ugg boots greythan 40 bucks for a 24-ounce porterhouse, damn it, you better feel like you're eating the best beef in town. And to Sullivan's credit,

Just kiddin', Chad-lad. You'ree an awesome nephew, and I'm assuming that you must make really good drinks too!
My nephew is really Superman? Hmmm, I always wondered why he was wearin' (what I thought) was his sister's red leotards!

One of the very few things I miss about KC. Shirley "Mom" Miller is definitely the matriarch of Kansas City late night eats. Burger are fantastic and I try to replicate a "truck stop" at home every now and again. With not the same results as Dave's.
Who is the Chicago restaurateur?

Congrats, I suppose, to the Red Balloon....but, the place is located in Shawnee KS not Overland Park!

Hell, ya. One of the best bartenders this aging hophead has experienced. He has the Ka-rah-zma to make you feel like an old friend in a matter of seconds and when you are an old friend the warmth exuded is palatable and sincere. Well deserved recognition.
Re: “Best Vegetarian Food”
I can't agree more. The food at Fud is always amazing - best vegan food it town, which is not to denigrate the other venues. You just can't beat this cuisine and any day I can make it over there for lunch is a special one. Go. Now.
