Re: “Best Barbecue: South

Drove there yesterday from Lee's Summit. We called first to verify the address. It's not a good sign when the telephone # is no longer in service. We went any way to find no cars in the parking lot and a note on the door that read "temporarily closed due to construction and traveling to find new recipes." Since KC is the BBQ capital of the world, I'm assuming they are traveling to 17th and Brooklyn. Since we were already on the KS side, we went to The Pitch's "best of" Italian restaurant , The Copa Room in Lenexa. I can't believe we never went to the midtown location. The experience was great. I'll give further detail concerning The Copa Room under it's own comment section.

Re: “Best Pizza

Really, best pizza? That's a bit of an insult to Pizza Bella, I think.

Re: “Best Thai Food

This has got to be a joke. I stopped ordering from this place long ago, after the 3rd time I ordered food to go, I was called back by the restaurant to be told that something I ordered was unavailable. (One time it was the mee krob they were out of. Another time it was the BBQ chicken. How does a restaurant run out of chicken??? Particularly when it's located across the street from the grocery store! Ridiculous.) It's only a 5 minute drive from my house, but I'd rather take the extra 10 minutes to get to Lulu's downtown. Besides, there's no one ever AT Thai Orchid, which is scary in and of itself. I honestly don't know how they've stayed open all these years.

Re: “Best Barbecue: West

Yes, it definitely is the best in town, but beyond the food it's a great place to call home...
