Re: “Best Ad Campaign

The slogan is like a hip-hop update on Ronald Reagan's famous Soviet stance, "Trust but verify." In November 2005, the Holliday Law Firm suffered the loss of family patriarch Harold "Doc" Holliday Jr., a former Jackson County legislator who was convicted of stealing from a scholarship fund. Bowed but unbroken, Holliday regained his law license 10 years before his death.

Re: “Best Liquor Store

Yeah and be sure to "roll" into this place strapped or packing heat. There is an off duty police officer watching over the parking lot...Says a lot. I feel sorry for the "KC Urbanites" if this is their liquor destinaton. "Colorful cast of" non-do-wells still remain. Decent selection of beer and booze...Glad I made it back to the hotel alive and with my possessions.

Re: “Best Bike Shop

This is a great bicycle shop. I always get a friendly hello and they are helpful even if they are busy. It's called 'customer service' and it's hard to find these days.

Re: “Best Doctor

I saw Dr. Sharon Lee on The Pitch's recommendation. I gave her the benefit of 3 visits, but I'll never go back to her. When I spoke with Dr. Lee about my health issues, as I'd discussed information intelligently with my previous physician (who moved, unfortunately), she started mocking me and throwing around a lot of medical jargon. When I told her I didn't understand, she said that was her point - that I didn't get to tell her anything; she was the doctor. She told me I didn't know anything; I didn't go to medical school. She was snooty and pompous, shaking her head and acting superior, treating me like I had a lot of nerve trying to talk to her about my own health care. I got the impression that Dr. Lee only wants patients who will feed her God-complex and not notice her insecurity. I don't think intelligent patients who want to be part of their own health care will be happy with this practice.
