Re: “Best Thrift Store

would recommend that people not trade at this store. I have frequented this store since it opened and at first liked it and even donated many items to this store. I will not shop there again. After the first year the clothing, housewares, and just about everything is over priced. The final straw came when they had their winter sale when all winter items were 30% off. I took 2 sweaters up that were literally made of the same material. The sales clerk refused to sell me the heavier one at the discount price because it was "stretchy"?! She told me it was a knit....I tried to explain the difference to her and she still refused to sell at the discount price so I left the sweater there. If you are looking for deals and a good place to donate items, try the DAV thrift store or the Homeless mission in your area. D. Wright-Topeka, KS

Re: “Best Vintage Boutique

Wow! VV Rocks! Kathy has got an AMAZING talent of being able to look at you, ask you what you need, and then pick out the most perfect outfit for whatever the occassion...It's amazing how she can just look and know what size you are. She was a lot of help when trying to find costumes for different plays and musicals--and of course Halloween! I've won multiple costume contests at work with Kathy's help. And if it's not in her store at that moment, she will bring it in within a couple of days for you to try on (she's got a ton of stuff offsite). If only she was on the web!

Re: “Best Vintage Boutique

What a neat store, even for guys. The clothes are sorted by decade with big signs. I couldn't miss what I was looking for. People shopping in the store were laughing as they shopped, while others were whispering under their breath, "I remember wearing a polyester pants suit just like this one". Others were trying on very expensive looking party dresses, that were't expensive. I even saw formal wear for guys, I could buy for less than the rental cost. Kthy even had vintage accessories. You need more than flaired, polyester pants for a 70's party, you need a classic afro wig, and Vintage Vogue has them. As I left the store, I realized even the music was fun to listen to. I also heard that most of the live theaters in town shop Vintage Vogue. They have neat vintage stuff.

Re: “Best Urban Farmer

Wow!! I am totally impressed with this gentlemen. He personifies everything that nature indemnifies. All the elements represented in one person..air,fire,earth and water. You don't get any better than that. Peace and blessiings to you Mr. Jennings. As you continue along nature's path the road becomes filled with enlightenment you have given to others. Reminds me of my grandfather back in the 50's who would wake me every morning in the summer while visiting from NY and teach me all the essentials of farming. Fond memories that have lasted a lifetime...Connie Daily
