Re: “Porn Again

Free Willy,

Seriously, I agree with most of your comments, but your lack of grammatical skills or spelling skills portray you as an absolute idiot---which I'm sure you're not. Any time you are writing an opinion piece that could be published publicly, Dude, make sure the grammar and spelling are correct. It may seem like a small detail, but I promise it will go a long way in giving validity to whatever opinion you are wanting to espouse.

It's because I agree with you that I send this message. Those who choose to get their panties in a wad (pun intended) can use your writing skills against you (regardless of whether or not it has anything to do with the topic at hand). They'll pick on whatever they perceive to be a weakness. Think a shark with the first smell of blood. Opinion-wise, you and I totally match up, but I have had enough debates in my life that I can anticipate where my opponents are going to identify and attack my weaknesses.

Christ, you'd think I was running for some election.....

Leaving you alone now,
Sue

Re: “Porn Again

What has porn done for our country?

nothing.

What does it do to our country?

Plenty.

porn becomes more and more graphic and downright disturbing as time goes on.

Gays, lesbians, acceptance by society at large. Most crimes involve sex or money (or both)the world becomes more twisted as our "freedom" is expanded.

The United states is becoming a cesspool of acceptance with no standards, no decency and no hope. not just the US.. but most countries, the world. things are not getting better, they only get worse.

one doesnt have to be some bible thumping jesus freak to disagree with the way things are going( I dont read the bible, I dont go to church) But I would have to be a moronic lemming ( like most of you) to believe that was has become acceptable by society should be acceptable to me.

Re: “Readers Tell Sex Police: Get Off

I fully agree with the patrol for trying to get all the sex off the streets, stores, porn shops and so on. It leads to perverts attacking children and also rapes. The women in the magazines are on their minds so they find someone to rape. It also causes hurt and divorces in marriages. These men need to grow up!!! All these magazines need to be banned as well as the sexual/sensual TV programs (i.e. one for instance Girls Next Door with the Play Mates. They wear low cut tops and when a photo shoot is done, they might as well wear Saran Wrap!); commercials and so on. I have nothing against sex and nudity, but it needs to be kept between husband and wife if the couple is married. If the husband does not find his wife who is past 30 sexy anymore, then divorce her. I find men prefer 18-25 year old young "girls" to look at and use their wives for sex because they can't have the play mates or other sexual young girls on the web. I know there are counselors for this.....I am one. There are many older very attractive women even up to their 60's (they eat right and exercise and look much much younger) but their husbands 'use' them for sex after looking at the young nudes so these women are hurt and prefer their husband not to touch them. Most of my clients want to try to save their marriage. Some have already divorced their husbands but can't trust men to want only them now so would rather die lonely. All this has got to stop!!!! These men are sick and have an obcession to these young women and are addicted to porn. All this filth needs to be banned!!!! This also includes the women who are addicted to the nude males and use their husbands while fantasizng about the men they have seen. They are also addicts!!!! Lets bring back the decency everywhere!!!! Stop the porn!!!!!!! (this includes TV programs and movies......let get it back to where we use our imagination!!!! It would save a lot of marriages. Satan sure has control of these men and women who are addicted to porn!!! He will have lots of company in hell when these people pass on.)

Re: “letters from the week of October 4

To Steven Drievner and usual suspects at the Pitch. Do you feel better after taking shots at Branson? Of course it sucks. No Gay scene. No Hip Hop clubs. No bars where Bimbos can grind on each other and yell woooo. No street people or druggies awaiting their next trip to jail. Where are the snotty, spoiled, anemic looking brats who hate everything good? God it must be Hell to live in a place that doesnt value hedonism. Life is what you make it Stevie no matter where you go. Even in a beautiful God fearing town like Branson a cynical punk is welcome. Are you that openminded...I know the Pitch isnt?

Re: “Do we suck, or what?

Nothing says "War Between the States" like a contest between Places/People/Things MO and KS, does it? And so, I find it ironic that I should be musing over the Pitch's current contest for the Best of Everything (KC Metro version), at the Starbucks in Westport, on the Missouri side, when a Lexus with Kansas plates pulls up and its driver stops and parks in the crosswalk despite the presence of a legal parking spot ten feet back. "Must be from Johnson County," I think to myself. Out pops two young able-bodied folks, one male, one female. As they saunter into the shop, I check out the plate. Sure enough, Johnson County. The pair talks, laughs, jokes, and orders coffee while I and others in the joint eyeball the illegally parked car. Once they have their purchases, they amble back out, clueless to the rudeness and unlawfulness of their conduct -- or perhaps not clueless, but unconcerned. In the War Between the States: Manners Category, give me a Missourian anytime.

Re: “Letters from the week of August 30

This comment is about the Edwin Hall interview, Everything was supposed to have been off record and i think she knew exactly what she was doing when he called to apologize, she taped the convo for god sake unless the jail gave it to her and i dont think she could get that convo without a warrant. Secondly, I know Mr. Hall WILL NOT EVER give her an interview, too bad so sad..

Re: “Letters from the week of August 23

There are 3 certainties in this world. Death, taxes and baseless, childish Pitch attacks against Phil Kline every week. Its really getting tiresome. You guys should just join the good fight and bash Liberals. I mean it just writes itself.

Re: “letters from the week of August 9

Carolyn Szczepanski's reporting of Gov. Sebelius in "Her Dirty Secret" is right on. I gave $1,000 to Gov. Sebelius in the last election and have been a supporter of hers. However, I am also the person in the photo holding the sign "Wind Good, Coal Bad" at the rally last December in Topeka. I don't understand why she won't stop the proposed coal-fired power plants in Holcomb, KS. She is a smart woman who knows the facts about global warming and sees the opporutity for more wind power in KS. The educated, informed voting public would support her if she did the right thing. If she does indeed have national political aspirations, siding with the dirty coal industry will come back to haunt her later. Thank you to "The Pitch" for bravely exposing the truth about this issue.
