In The Wake isn't metal at all, what are you talking about? What they are is AWESOME! And why is the first part of this story about Torque and Jeremy Fisher? Ok, he produced it, shouldn't he be mentioned only as a side note. I've seen In The Wake before and they are completely amazing, but it seems like this article was written by someone who only likes metal... and is maybe just trying to make it sound like ITW is a metal band so that it is ok to like them. I don't know, but it's nice to see them get some attention any which way it happens.

Awesome album. "My Cat" especially. "Rodent meat is not good for his digestion. I asked my vet about this question." Classic lyrics. Mee frickin' oww.

Great record, and definitely a testament of Pat's talent as a songwriter. Despite the obvious Costello and Beatles reference points, this record reminds me a lot of "Oddessey & Oracle" era Zombies.
Thanks for reviewing this Pitch! It really made my day as Pat has been a big influence on my life both musically and personally. I'm glad he's doing well in Japan and look forward to hearing more from him in the future.

Pint size princess yes.If a song is a ripp off so what it's a ripp off. it not like they be the first to ripp of a song but its the fans that matter. savvy. I enjoy the BB simply because they enjoy playing their music and they are entertainment. i agree with you about them needing to work on their lyrics but they are a local band thats trying and maybe with the new lineup change they can start to do better

Irv The Phenom is what we need to help represent the Kansas City scene. Screw American Idle. That sh*t needs to be discontinued.

will someone fire the chard already?
i'm seriously embarrassed for this band.
how does the pitch see this as being remotely fit to print?

Re: “Radio City”
my asumption would be that the author of this revue HAS NOT SEEN THIS BAND LIVE- i did last night at crosstown station,on a whim, mind you, and this is EASILY the BEST LIVE BAND from ANYWHERE AROUND HERE ive seen in a long time. my huntch is the comments on the cd have more to do with the fact that it was probably done on a shoe string budget and of course the mix is shit(i actually havent even heard it but that is fairly commonplace with a bunch of young kids recording a glorified demo?) i think its safe to say this band could easily take over the top ranks of the great bands currently on the scene. they are part Replacements, part early Tom Petty and have all the hooks to leave you humming along all the next day-which i have done today which lead me to search and see if there was any info on them on pitch.com and here i am!! RADIO CITY:please save ROCK AND ROLL in its true form.
