This has got to be one of the greatest boondoggle's going in KC, next to TIFs. Bridging The Gap has found you bring both sides to the donor's table by working every public employee on the outside. Over 95% of the speakers at ShadowWhiff are from Kansas City, and almost of their employers have or do pay for their trips. Bob Mann has no issue with taking funding any way he can. Good for you Bob, bad for the taxpayers and consumers of the metro area. We all pay for a few to play! Thanks for the coverage Pitch!
Great job of research, dumbass. Jesse was born in Clay County, not Cass.
But I guess if it's not midtown, it's all the same to you.

Good lord. That was a poor attempt at humor. Running low on ideas?

You guys look silly. Go on about people not showing a film, then putting a trailer in the message that has been pulled and cannot be viewed.

I went to high school in Lee's Summit. There are quite a few "decendents" down there. Youngers, Slaughters....good guys. I think the spirit of Jesse James will always "be" in this area. I said it a few time coming back from St. Jo, I look out the window of a work truck, and spout off "Imagine a posse of REAL rednecks riding horseback from St. Jo down a trail where I29 runs now, heading to Westport for a good old ass whippin' whore buyin' bank robbin good time!" Thats a trip! and how did they get across the river? Thats always good for conversation.

Great idea to contact Betty Barr regarding this movie. However, Jesse James was born in Clay County, Missouri (not Cass). The home and farm where he was born nearly 160 years ago is open to the public near Kearney. Well worth the 30-minute drive from downtown. We're producing the new visitors center video, which will be shown beginning next month.

It's sad but true but the downtown area is run by the panhandlers and not the Kansas City Police. The panhandlers have no fear. I had my two children with me and was confronted twice by people saying they were hungry or needed money for a bus fare. I will NEVER go downtown again. My children were scared by the obvious intoxication of these people. My children are of prime importance to me. I will never put my children in a situation like that again.

I don't live Downtown but I work downtown and I have to agree that it gets tiresome going to lunch and on the way having people getting in your face or following you asking for money. I'm just fed up with having to say NO every street block. Just because I have a job does not mean I'm made of money. I ride the bus to work because I'm trying to save what I can.
