@Ted: I would not be at all surprised if clapshot is revealed at the first inspection by the health dept.
The new KC-Pils is not the same beer as the Boulevard Pilsner. I tried it three different times and the my overall impression is that the new brew lacks the clarity and crispness of the Original and has an odd, ale-like, aftertaste. As they both (old & New)were/are the only lagers on the year-round menu for Boulevard I am rather unhappy with the new stuff...
Boss Tom's beats it by a mile.
I can only assume that if Maxim likes it, then the food tastes of Axe Body Spray and teenage boobs.
Muehlebach bottle was so much better. Oh well.
Free speech works both ways.
Speaking of which, anyone know if we'll ever get "The Naked News" in Kansas City?
he was just tweaking on a fresh batch of meth....they give it out to students there at Meth U
they must have thought that since they got some press on Triple D they were going big time.....more like big time belly up!
Ditto Foodsnob, I'm so sick of the national publications doing articles on KC BBQ and writing glowing reviews of Gates and Arthur Bryants. They must be dusting off old reviews someone else wrote, they surely haven't been to either of them.
These two chains would close their doors if they weren't getting the one time tryers coming in ...their food quality is awful.
must be a market for this type of establishment, what with Hooters, Twin Peaks and now Tilted Kilt opening. Single teenage moms have to work somewhere....not all of them have the skills or guts to work the stripper pole.
let's hope she covers the spectrum of Strawberry Hill enthnic foods...there were two big German neighborhoods there also.....
This is prime real estate (hence paying so much over appraised value) and Prairie Village should be happy that the Tutera group is purchasing it instead of some out of state firm that will develop it into a retail shopping center or apartment complex. Think of the alternatives; a liquor store, convenience store, restaurant, auto parts store, Wal Mart! Sure it would be nice to have it as a park or for more homes, but the reality of it is that just isn't going to happen. And if it was to happen, the houses would be so massive that people would complain about that. Just be lucky that the worst thing that will happen to neighbors is an old person "escaping" or the sound of an ambulance every once in a while.
Someone should compile a list of every place that a Lutfi's location has been open. It has to be at least a dozen.
What's with the unreadable graphic? :(
Will haggis, cullen skink, Arbroath smokies, and clapshot be on the menu? Or deep fried Mars bar?
Uhh yeah 'not tired' I do have a family connection - which I just wrote about in my post.
I wasn't speaking to the issues with the development - I could care less since I don't live in PV. It doesn't impact me. I was just agreeing with 'son' that Lucille, who runs the Atriums, is a fine woman.
So thankful my beautiful, nicely proportioned daughter has brains...
Boo. The old is my favorite. The long bottle is much better for a light lager. I like the local, I guess, but COME ON!!!
Jack Stack can hold it's own at least they didn't pick Gate's!
Re: “Tilted Kilt is the latest breastaurant to set its sights on KC”
Oh cue the vegan man hating feminists. Sooner or later there will be protesters out front with hairy armpits saying its sexism and women are not objects.
Hooters btw is boring. I never go there anymore anyway. They are set up like its 1990s still, there was never any renovation or change at Hooters, it was only a matter of time before a new company came along and perfected the concept. Tired of the orange and white all over the place.
