Re: “Streetside: Everyone has an agenda for the Nelson-Atkins’ ambitious improvement agenda

density isn't the solution to Cleaver and Troost. there's a huge amount of density around that intersection. the problem is it's a huge pain to get through. a stupid simple change would be to do away with the dedicated southbound to westbound turn lane and put in either on street parking for the park or a bus stop. this would cut the pedestrian crossing by at least 15 feet of distance.

Re: “Jason Isbell and Damien Jurado swept the audience away last night at the Uptown

He mentioned during the show that she'd grown up in KC. Perhaps not born here.

Re: “The promising but uneven Morton's Grille could go either way

That is not the definition of wet aging, which is simply allowing meat to age in the cry-o-vac instead of in the open air, however controlled. No chemicals are introduced.

Create more retail, market rate apartment, and entertainment district blight that will certainly make our fair city more attractive, relaxing, and livable.

Re: “Streetside: Everyone has an agenda for the Nelson-Atkins’ ambitious improvement agenda

"Why, for instance, is the intersection of Main Street and Emanuel Cleaver II Boulevard so congested and so pedestrian-unfriendly, and how could it be improved?"

WE NEED MORE DENSITY!!! THATS THE SOLUTION!!!

Re: “Nick Wesemann, Patrick Ryan, Howard Hanna and Bluestem up for James Beard Awards

Great for you, Nick. You don't remember me, but I staged briefly at the American, and you were great as both a chef and a person. Super happy for you.

Re: “Jim Tharp, man who built upside-down-L house, has died

That guy was an interesting chap. I still remember building a race car trailer with him as a teenager and cursing him for dropping welding slag into my hair.

Re: “The promising but uneven Morton's Grille could go either way

All steaks are aged. They may either be wet-aged or dry-aged. Wet-aging is the process of sticking a (usually garbage) steak in a plastic bag with chemicals. It is nothing to brag about. Capital Grille, The Majestic, and Pierpont's all serve high quality, prime, dry-aged meats. Why go for chemically bagged grocery store meat at steak-house prices?

Re: “How I Got the Edwin R. Hall Interview

Anyone know how to get in touch with prison gangs in his prison if so they should definitely put a brutal end to this piece of shits life! To take the life of a young woman someone's daughter their pride and joy, a young woman just beginning her journey full of promise and this disgrace of human being does this to her to her family. I hope he is raped daily and beaten to the point of being quadriplegic and spends the rest of his miserable life in that paralyzed state alone with the thoughts of what he's done.

Re: “Edwin Hall Speaks

This guy deserves to be repeatedly raped himself. Hope he doesn't get the death penalty. The person that is killed is not the one suffering. Her family and friends will for the rest of there lives. I hope he goes to the hardest of prisons and gets to meet 'bubba' real soon

Re: “Debora Green back in court

I just saw the episode on forensic files this evening. It is terrible what she did. How could a person do such a terrible thing, especially a Dr. That took an oath to heal the sick ? This woman is not crazy she is just evil and all for herself. I worked at KUMC many years after graduating from KU Nursing School. Debra Green is nothing but pure evilness. The EVIL WITCH needs to be burned ALIVE for all that she has done. What a waste of taxpayers money. Just kill her as that is what she deserves.

Re: “Huddle House is 'temporarily closed' again

In the restaurant biz, "temporary" has become a euphemism for "permanent". Why?
