I'm reading the book, Bitter Harvest by Ann Rule and am halfway through it. I'm glad that she is serving hard 40 years for the deaths of her two children. But do think that it should be 40 years for EACH of her children. Not just 40 for the both of them. I wished Mike Farrar would have simply taken all of his children and left Debora years ago. I'm not placing blame on Mike for trying to make his marriage work, so his children wouldn't have a broken home. But just wished he would have taken the children and ran like a bat out of hell from that evil woman.

I'm also shocked that she didn't receive the death penalty. Soooo many teens are being given the death penalty for stupid, violent acts that if anyone deserves a second look, it would NOT be her. Kids do vicious things and have no real concept of death and its finality. This woman was grown and these were HER children. The attitudes in these posts are the same attitudes that made the death penalty an option in the first place. And this will be the attitude of the jury! This. case and "Ms Green" really is going to lack in jury sympathy. We all live in the real world as adults and are very aware (medicated or not) of what choices she could have made before she set the house on fire and tried to blame on her spouse when her attempts to kill him failed. So why should anyone be surprised by these attitudes of the public who have families who sometimes divorce us, don't do what we want, steal from us, cheat on us and lie to our faces and yet we DO NOT resort to murdering them out of spite just becuz things don't go our ways. So if she or YOU are upset about our public opinions, well that's just too damn bad cuz guess what????... SHE EARNED IT!!!

Do people ever stop to consider what comes out of their own mouths? Calling someone "evil", saying they hope another person dies a horrible death or rots in hell, and that they couldn't ever forgive? Doesn't that sound exactly like what would come out of the mouth of the convicted felon? So really, you are no better than the prisoner, are you? You probably would dance with glee at an execution, which makes you just as sick and twisted. Self-righteousness is not an attractive state of being.

I'm just now reading the book about this unfortunate case by Ann Rule. I can't believe a mother would do this to her own children in hopes of getting her husband back when there really was no more hope for them.
Divorces and affairs unfortunately do happen but I've never known anyone to go to such lengths as to set their own house on fire not once but twice taking the lives of two innocent children not to mention trying to poison your husband with ricin. Thats just beyond any words or my comprehension. This woman is exactly where she belongs and I hope that God will forgive her for this because I know I couldn't.
