Re: “Popcorn Tubs Runneth Over

KC is copying another idea from another city. I had some guests with me from FL. One woman checked out the sparse crowd and was shocked at all the fatties. In Miami, the baseball crowds are about as sparse as at the K but the viewing is good as even in a small crowd there are sure to be some glorious babes.

Don't look now but the Royals are playing much better. They may still be in last place but they are competitive and many games over the last six weeks have been exciting.

Re: “Popcorn Tubs Runneth Over

I'm with you about the hotdogs. Having been to a variety of sports venues across the US and Canada, the K is, without a doubt, one of the worst places in the entire english-speaking world to get a hotdog.

They're crap. Thick-skinned mash crammed into a soggy bun. And forget trying to find some sauerkraut. There's maybe one or two dispensers I could find. In the entire arena. I have never been so disappointed by baseball hotdogs as in KC. You want good hotdogs? Try Toronto. Or Minneapolis. But KC? No way.

Re: “Silly Firemen, Water's for Fires

Most of these I have no problem with. People who are cops, firefighters, judges, etc are working for the public. If the task they are doing is helping the public then what is the big deal? Personally, I think $57 is ok to spend to help little kids reunite with their pets. There are a lot of worse ways tax dollars could be spent than making children happy. And what's wrong with letting children play in a fire hydrant on a "mildly" hot summer day? At least they're safe and not getting into trouble. People need to lighten up. If this story angered you, then please do us all a favor: go pop a Prozac and relax!

Re: “Representin' the ... Where Are We?

If the Johnson County citizens want the Royals to partly be theirs, I guess they can pay the taxes.

Re: “Mall Abuse

I dont think you were very fair about the article you wrote about Joe Exotic. When are people like you and the mall ever going to report the truth about PeTA and where it gives all of it money to terrorist? it is on their tax returns. I would think you would do your homework to concider the source before killing someones name or messing up a place weather it is bad or good that trys to help animals. Hats off to you Robin for just cutting animal funds even worse by not ever letting them come back. If anyone cared about the condition of a zoo or refuge they would help build it up or make it better instead of helping hinder it even more. Hope your award for backing a group who can condone killing 168 people looks great next to orange julious.

Re: “Slurs From the Skybox

People need to wake up and really peep the scene.Skybox is the only place in KC where people of ALL races can eat, drink, dance and have a good time. All places have bumps in the road, but over all, Skybox is cool. Sending hate letters is such a foolish way to voice a concern! Clearly the writer doesn't want to be effective using racial slurs in his stupid letters. I thought River Market was a cool place to live in KC???

Re: “Connie Does D.C.

By "working in many arenas" perhaps our Connie plans a future as a rodeo clown. Of that vocation, though, she'd have to learn the rodeo part.

Re: “Connie Does D.C.

Morris's trip to Miami Beach was not only notorious for her extravagance, but for what appeared to be conscious and deliberate fraud. Two taxi receipts for $147 were in her own unique and florid handwriting. The cab companies said the rides should have cost, if taken, only about $50-52. But in the "middle" of one of those rides, Morris was eating about her fourth meal in 24 hours, at a Subway at a freeway entrance in Hollywood, Florida. Somehow one doubts that a cab driver was sitting outside while she and her husband (yes, she charged all but one of his meals too) were wolfing down a foot long sandwich. She later admitted, as I surmised, that he was in Miami Beach on (monkey?) "Business" and had rented a car.

But it is the nasty Satanist media that's to blame. Not her greed and corruption.

Re: “Journey to Lameness

Wow...unoriginal and insulting. Way to go. Stealing ideas from bloggers is just sad, and BBQ jokes about Kennedy's just aren't funny.

Re: “Journey to Lameness

Wow you really did steal this article for Tony's Kansas City.
