he also plays guitar for a living. for christs sake. im sure bruce springsteen payed him something while he played with him. ever occor to you that his travel to this event is paid for by some of the proceeds. its called overhead of a charity. just because a performer gives his time doesnt mean hes giving his own money to pay to get to the event. if you dont like the guy and what he stands for then fine but dont act like an ignorant jackass.
I blame Obama.
I tried it last night at Governor Stumpy's. It was very interesting and surprising. The mint was not overpowering, but was quite present. I liked it, but could not envision drinking more than one at a time. I like that Boulevard plays around with different things, and are not afraid to take risks!
Qwentelia? Seriously?
Why would you do something like that to an innocent child?
How about we just get the Chocolate Ale back and save the Mint??? beer for the over-zealous home brewers...
With his earnings from a corporate label and his former band
I'm going to Dancefestopia Music Festival right here in Kansas City! $99 for both days, I think!
Quityerbitchin- Crown Center is the only part of town that is actively positioning itself to remain relevant. It has always had hotels, tourist attractions, theatres, and shopping. Now it has the two hottest children's attractions in town. It is a simple walk to a number of great restaurants and art galleries. Even more is coming this way. Get out and see the city. You might be impressed.
the small minded minority that say that KC is fine is the same people that say that Kansas City doesn't need mass transit; and honestly that is sad, both of these projects are vitally important to the overall economic life of Kansas City. Kansas city needs these projects and the people who like to say things shouldn't change are the same types of people that said back in the early 1900's that we don't need cars we have perfectly good horses. have you ever been to a city with a nice airport where you can buy food, coffee or anything else you would like right there in the terminal and take it right onto the plane. Kansas City airport is not a friendly airport to fly into or out of because of these facts and a lot of others. Do the people saying we don't need this even travel, if you don't you shouldn't worry about it, it's not like it is coming out of taxpayer dollars and the only people who should worry about this are the people who use KCI all the time.
How smart do you have to be to get caught with a gun after getting paroled for shooting someone?
Do society a favor, and throw away the key.
WHEN it expands to westport and the plaza, it WILL increase business and WILL help tourism.

This place looks and smells great. Please add evening hours soon.
Sincerely,
Your River Market Neighbors.
I ate at Esquina right after it first opened and I really liked it. But then the menu changed and things just got weird. I LOVED The Burger Stand and defended it over and over again when friends would tell me horror stories about raw hamburgers and terrible service. I continued to eat there until a cockroach crawled across my table when I was waiting on my burger one afternoon. I told the cashier and her response was, "Would you like to switch tables? We usually only see cockroaches around that one table." I got a refund and left. Maybe the issue with both of these places is that lots of love and energy is put into starting them, but not a lot of thought or effort is put into their follow through?
Given the local popularity of The Flaming Lips, it makes little sense that you would miss them.
"that's the one that goes Da da da da da/Da da da da da."
"which is the one where he whistles at the outset "
"I can't pinpoint exactly the secret to the Black Keys' success, but I'd guess it has something to do with that music-to-pomp ratio. "
Perhaps it's your aesthetic, which is fine, but your reviews come off like you could give a shit - about being a music/show critic, the band in question, writing in general - and you get very defensive when called out.
Please review some Tim Finn and try again.
Let's hope the reviewer wants to be there this time... and goes for all days.
Throw my hat in the ring with Dinklemeyer. LC's for the win. I guess I'm tired of the only BBQ joint in town being OK Joe's. Enter bitch-fest stage left.
If you don't want to live in a real city then move to Johnson County. I applaud KCMO for being proactive and trying to compete with other cities to attract jobs and talent.
Stretch is a self-promoting hack. I for one will not be going back to Grinders until he drops this ridiculous lawsuit.
I'm there this weeknd!! #friedChicknwaffles!!!!

Jeez....you could drive a truck thru those nostrils.
