I love it how anyone who sits back to judge the movie rather than enjoy it tends to forget what superman is. It's a movie based on a COMIC BOOK franchise not an academy award forerunner. This movie WAS the epitome of what a comic book movie should be. There was no reason to "kneel before Zod," because Zod was krypton's warrior, a defender of sorts. He was not some power hungry dictator.
Man of steel 8 of out 10.

I agree. Pitch movie reviewers, perhaps because of their Midwestern-sized inferiority complexes, must feel that to compete with real movie reviewers on the coasts (or, in Chicago), they need to be insulting even to high-quality cinema, and use a lot of empty, esoteric-sounding descriptives that only impress other Pitch reviewers, I suspect. Their reviews have become as useless as that George Clooney remake of 'Solaris' several years back.

Lol at the comments on here. They told other's they commited the crime? So small town hearsay is evidence now? Stories from other prisoners trying to cut deals is evidence? Echols wife is not a film maker. An Alford is not a guilty plea its a no contest whilst maintaining your plea of innocence. WM3truth is also very one sided to be quite honest.
If they "found blood" on that necklace then how come years later when the defense had the funds to do their own DNA tests not one of the wm3's DNA was found at the crime scene? Sounds like that necklace was just another one of the states made of evidences. YOU read both sides of the story.
The West Memphis Three were found guilty once and plead guilty a second time last year instead of waiting for a trial. Misskelley (one of the 3) confessed FIVE times, three times to the detectives, once to his lawyers and once to the police. Both Echols and Baldwin (one of the 3) told others they committed the crimes. Echols had a long history of violence, threats of violence and psychotic behavior (see Exhibit 500).
Police took a necklace from Echols when he was arrested. An outside crime lab later found blood from two distinct DNA sources on the necklace. One source was consistent with Echols, the other with Baldwin and one of the victims. A car load of people saw Echols in muddy clothes near the crime scene. Read alternative sources about the case like wm3truth, not just the one-sided movies,

I never felt comfortable with how the celebrity community embraced this case. It seemed like for all the calls of "goth persecution" there were a lot of celebrities looking to score points with goth teenagers.
There were multiple confessions, witnesses to the crime, Damien's own bragging admission, the list goes on.
No surprise this was all pushed by someone who had an unhealthy obsession with Damien Echols.
Ironic because a point of contention by the prosecution is that Echols was a Manson like figure who could use his sociopathy to influence others to do his bidding. And who better than your filmmaker 'wife' that you married in prison.
There is a big difference between an Alford and time served and being "innocent", or even being not guilty.

Great article!!! Thank you so much for everything! I actually did 2 movies after Zombie Bloodbath 3, one was Fear of The Dark and the other Whispers In The Gloom. Both with Antwoine Steele who is still with me in the new film. Both did pretty well on an international market level, and both will be hitting USA DVD Summer 2013 with a huge box set being released of my films from 1995 to 2005. I did stop making films in 2005 due to the radio show and how busy I was.
Everybody knows there is only one film maker and shaker in KC and that is Glazer just ask him so he will tell you all about his Hollywood fails.
Speaking from a pure entertainment perspective, which is what movies tend to do best, we liked Reacher. There are plenty of military complex type weapons, which we all love, love, love but not so much blood. Isn't that tidy. 90 minutes of good clean family fun. Bring the kiddies.
Well done. I agree 100% with this review. This is the worst film I've seen in a long, long time--nothing funny, nothing likable, and I left feeling angry.
