Darn-it-I live around the old Red Bridge Shopping Center and there isn't an Indian restaurant for miles-I'm dying for a good one to move into my neck of the woods and here there are two together up there-just not fair! I've been to Zona Rosa only a handful of times but if I get to the neighborhood I'll have to see if I can find it! Thanks for the recommendation.

Mio is a wonderful and much needed addition to the KC dining scene. It is exquisite and one of a kind. What my husband and I like the most about it is that it reminds us of when we lived in Europe; at Mio you receive a personal, un-rushed dining experience. Any other restaurant in KC just herds their customers in and out quickly, but at Mio you are given time to enjoy you meal and soak in the entire experience. The staff is knowledgable and attentive whithout being bothersome. The menu selection is unlike anything else in the area. We highly recommend Mio!

I have tried almost every item on the menu and have not found one i wouldn't order again. Mio's Linguine bolognese it perfect and unlike any other pasta served in KC. The smaller restaurant makes the dinning experience more intimate, and the chef and owner has visited my table every time i have come to thank me for my support. This is by far the best new restaurant in Kansas and Missouri.
I did appreciate the simple menu, but that's where it ended. The wine list is not very good and the service was pushy. I went with my family and our server brought us items we just said we liked, but never ordered. When asked about the wine list, we had a bottle open already, he asked what I thought about this wine that was around $110/bottle. I said it was nice. Next thing I know he's opened it and is pouring it out. The food wasn't bad, but not memorable either.
For this area of town, it's a great addition. I wouldn't get too aggressive and move downtown where there is more competition. The dining room isn't comfortable, I wanted to eat and run. If he does want to open downtown, I'd suggest a new concept or a more imaginative menu and wine list.
enjoy seeing novelty architecture like this. Reminds me of the Cabazon Dinosaurs in California.
So upset I missed this event. Everything I heard about it sounded delicious!

Didn't like it at all. Way to crowded, not enough waitresses and food was cool, not even warm. Will never eat there again.

FYI: The joint has closed, apparently changed ownership. Will re-open soon but I forgot what the sign on the door said the new name would be.

You know I'm just a hac(half-ass-cook) that grew up on the east side of kansas city with no training, never claimed to be a chef just a cook. I'm just cooking crappy Kansas City food I grew up with at a reasonable price. You have definitely out classed me socially, economically and with culture. I salute you. You remind me of Dave Eckard, another story. I do have to get back to the kitchen I'm you-tubing on how to boil water, I keep burning the darn thing.
