Re: “From Kansas City’s industrial frontier, a heartwarming tale of warehouse warfare

I have not seen Chuck in years, in fact last time I saw him he was working at a shoe store. If a guy can undercut a large company and make some scratch for his own, then I say go Chuck! I grew up with Chuck and he has always seemed to be a good guy even though I thought he had it hard when he was young. I got nothing bad to say about him, after all he did what many of us are trying to do; become independently wealthy and secure, that is not easy nowdays. I wish him the best.

Re: “Meet the most notorious prostitute in a neighborhood known for – and trying to get rid of – its hookers

Just to let you all know that she is back in your neighborhood. I was driving up Independence Ave and yep you got it she was walking down the street towards Benton and Independence Ave. Get ready to have the trash back in your neighborhood yet again.

Just to let ALL you people know that this slut is back in your neighborhood and in your city. I seen her walking down Independence Ave yesterday. Good luck in getting this whore off your streets.

Re: “Shannon Knapp and Invicta move to conquer women's MMA

Women's fighting is always disappointing because you realize they just can't match the level of physicality/intensity that the male fighters have, so the fights are not nearly as interesting. Just like pretty much every Women's sport.

Re: “Shannon Knapp and Invicta move to conquer women's MMA

I just find it quite unfair that women with female bone structure and feminine muscle distribution are taking beatings at a level that could inflict more significant injury than if they would fight others with the same similar physique. Fallon Fox has spent many years developing male oriented bone structure and muscle distribution. If Fallon Fox would’ve had the gender reassignment surgery before puberty, I feel it would be possibly much more fair and less of a significant advantage.

If a guy has above average testosterone he has an advantage so therefore is cheating and not accepted. Cyborg has juiced male hormones for a few years and she is considered a disgrace but Fox did it for 30 yrs and is OK?! Not to mention the difference in muscle and bone structure from a man and a woman, there is a reason guys are stronger, faster and all around more athletic. Imagine if before the surgery Fox told the Dr. that he wants a sex change and then is going to fight women! I think it stinks and Fox should go home and work on his/her mental issues and quit being allowed to beat up on women. A fully roided up Cyborg would be a fair fight for this waste of good oxygen called Fox.

Get on with it!

Re: “KCK mayoral candidates Ann Murguia and Mark Holland explain themselves

well she's a "typical" politician.....takes credit for what she hasn't done and tells everyone that's what makes her "qualified". Sounds like our POTUS!

Re: “KCK mayoral candidates Ann Murguia and Mark Holland explain themselves

When Ann says she was "intimately involved" in those building projects, she might as well said, "they would've happened without me." I was working for the KCK Public Library when they started discussing the building of a new library in Argentine... I don't remember Ann having anything to do with this decision. It seems to me she is taking undo credit for the construction of a project in which she was a mere "volunteer." As far as the grocery store goes, I doubt corporate over at Save-A-Lot is swayed into developing locations by a county commissioner. Of course, Ann doesn't seem to understand that it takes a community...

Re: “Paradise Locker Meats puts heritage pigs at the center of local butchery's future

Great article - thank you. In addition to their skill with pork production, Paradise Meat Locker also processes goat meat extraordinarily well. We have been taking our goats to be processed there for the past two years and the Fantasma family and their employees go above and beyond for the farmers they work with. -Jen, of The Red Tractor Farm (near Lawrence)

Re: “Paradise Locker Meats puts heritage pigs at the center of local butchery's future

Excellent. Great to read about folks we've come to know and love over the past several years. Paradise Locker is where I learned you don't have to spend Whole Foods money every week to switch from the megamart meat case to far more delicious, sustainable meats from an actual local butcher. Great people who know their products and will engage you in conversation about any and all of them, creating what my wife refers to as the "Trimble vortex" when I come home two hours later than planned. Literally one of my favorite places in the world, and I highly encourage a visit if you haven't been there. A package of some shoulder bacon, spicy smoked kielbasa, country style ribs, and ask them what steak you should get that day...and you'll have a good idea what they're all about. And did I mention the Fantasma's know how to party?!?!?
