Re: “Three days, 58 pizza places, endless love

Waldo Pizza used to be better. Now it's just a place where they allow people's kids to run around wild in the bar, and everyone is just supposed to deal with it. There are too many better pizza places around for me to keep putting up with that.

Re: “Is Esmie Evil?

She's whack. It's typical for American people who've never experienced true tragedy and violent anger to jump on the bandwagon of someone like this. Yea, let her babysit your children and she can bludgeon them when they misbehave. She's the same as the columbine boys, the aurora shooters and the boy who killed all those innocent school children. Open your eyes, you pathetic bleeding hearts, she's scary as hell. And, "Guest", if Horwitz does leave his wife for her, his wife will be lucky. All of these people in this scenario are ridiculous and deserve each other.

Re: “Three days, 58 pizza places, endless love

I think Sarpino's should have been on this list. Yes they are a chain, but they make a great pie. The topping varieties are amazing. This is starting to become my go to place for pizza.

Im surprised sarpinos wasn't added either...they have delivery, and an ridiculous amount of topping varieties. It may be a chain, but they still make everything there by hand! good stuff!

You are probably not aware of the newest Pizza Place in town, the Pizza Co. in Lee's Summit. It's Neapolitan style, every one made to order, and Chef Alex is CIA trained!

Re: “The endless drama of the Kansas City Blues Society

yottara- of course the treasurer is giving a statement at the meeting. Why do the people who make comments on here not use their real names? What are you afraid of or hiding? I know who the guy is who is bitching about the "two little white girls". He's the same guy who is always saying shit like that. If that guy had any game or put out a good product- well, people might like his stuff. Sad really... Use your real names kids...

About time. Will the treasurer give a report at the March 19 meeting? Perhaps the members could share ideas for budgeting / plan for the next year's harmonies.

Re: “The endless drama of the Kansas City Blues Society

Joe and his ho's posted the last three years financial statements on the KCBS website. When Joe took office, the previous year's profit/loss statement reported a loss of 18,450 dollars. Joe's first year, the year he came in and CLEANED HOUSE, reported a loss of 450 dollars. So... there goes the "he's up to no good" theory. Don't get duped by what you read. David- you should have done due diligence

Re: “Three days, 58 pizza places, endless love

Great job! I've done my share of crawls/treks/travels related to food, and this compilation is worthy of respect.

White Clam Pizza at Marco Polo's....excellent mention.

A great pizza that also fits the "really cheap meal" discussion from the other day can be found at 715 in Lawrence. At lunch for less than ten bucks you can get one with soup or salad. They'll do a daily special pretty often that's topped with La Quercia speck. It's very good to eat.

Perhaps Curtis lacks the perceptiion to see what section of The Pitch he's reading. Was he expecting a pizza investigation? Idiots...they seem to be reproducing at an alarming rate.

It's the hard hitting subject matter that makes The Pitch the standard in investigative journalism in Kansas City.

Italian Delight in KCK is soooo not the same as Avelluto's Italian Delight in Mission. The KCK Italian Delight has the best pizza in the city.

Although I'm shocked The Dish in Liberty didn't get a taste. The only Chicago style in town and it's pretty great too.

Re: “At Westboro Baptist Church, Steve Drain found religion but lost a daughter

How do you go from thinking the church was crazy to packing up your family and being baptized??
From some interviews? That seems implausible. How self righteous of steve drain to accept that only he and the current and wbc members will go to heaven, so in the meantime, he is a propaganda machine. How ironic that he also says that Fred Phelps speaks the truth about the whole bible. That is a lie. None of them speak about the entire bible. They pick and choose certain verses for their messaging. For example, Sodom and Gamora is about hospitality, NOT homosexuality. They contextualize the bible to fit Fred's views, instead of contextualizing their subjectivity to fit God's views. I'm glad that so many of them have left. I read that a former member has said they have prayed for people to die. How sad that they view that as love. Should have guessed drain studied philosophy....so self righteous. When they start picketing themselves, then people will take them more seriously. Love thy neighbor as you love yourself. So, drain, there's a new sign for you....God hates the wbc. Probably because you are a sinner, just like the rest of us.
