Re: “Just how much impact has the Green Impact Zone had?

Preach Rob Jones... and lets not forget about the biggest monster of them all MARC. Who did not take the time to find a City and not a firm who has done this already. Beltline in Atlanta is a ideal model for what the Green Impact was to do and it is fabulous...not perfect but damn near and so they did not have to bake the cake over again. I can not believe how much money they have spent and did less than 10% of what needed to be done. Not only that the sewer system is falling apart right under KC and that is not the first priority within these areas. I believe that we need federal accountability for the amounts of money being passed around. I recently did a contract under MARC and was so disqusted at how they did the minumum required to service the grant that I am now standing up and saying something. Crazy!!! but this has been going on for years!!!!!!

Re: “Bradyn Fuksa flees a theft charge and disappears in Wyoming

Having just watched this twice as I live in Montana and would love to have something to help with finding him. I too think it is odd that he would chose to get his tire fixed and abandon it just down the road. I myself would be talking again to the guy who fixed his tire, did he talk to anyone else there at Wheatland? Was there searches on his computer? If he loved the mountains he wouldn't chose Billings, Bozeman maybe or Missoula. Look into jobs that are day jobs and may not look into his background. I hope they find him, and straighten out whatever was troubling him. At his age with what his family and friends said about his charactor, the trouble he got into was a big deal to him. It is hard at that age. Is there any road cams along that stretch of the highway. I know that there is on some passes in Montana.

Who needs The Strand when it's all free and abundant on the Internet?

Re: “Just how much impact has the Green Impact Zone had?

In the real world you determine what you want to achieve, set a budget and put the work up for bid. Fairly straightforward and cost effective.

I am not sure if this is patentable but the carriers would easily be able to do this......

Re: “Just how much impact has the Green Impact Zone had?

I just cant imagine that Cleaver would come up with a great idea that completely lacks a plan of execution. And then you expect me to believe that the Obama Administration would support it? No way...

Re: “Just how much impact has the Green Impact Zone had?

A couple of years ago the Kansas Department of Transportation had a few grad students look at KDOT's carbon footprint. They used electrical usage as a proxy for CO2. Do you know what the entire result of it was? "Weatherize old buildings, build insulated new buildings, use high efficiency heaters, light bulbs and computers." .... Beyond that you get into replacing computers with good old fashioned chalk boards. So.. unless you want to return to the 1800's, get used to burning coal, oil, and natural gas. Oops. Forgot nuclear, NIMBY. And remember... A FULL THIRD of the world's 7,000,000,000 people don't have access to electricity at all. So, you green people can go suck it. I think Africa would apprieciate it.

Hope is never a good economic strategy. That should be obvious by now.

Re: “Just how much impact has the Green Impact Zone had?

The Green Impact Zone is a failure....look at the real story...how much money was spent on studies and planning and administration compared to how much money was spent to help the residents of the area create a sustainable living community. It's big government as usual. The original plan was brilliant but it was sideswiped by organizations and people trying to make out for themselves. Meetings to plan the next meetings, Zimmer Realty to oversee a weatherization program they had absolutely no experience in or knowledge of, Anita Maltbia and her too well paid staff not listening to the real sustainable movers in Kansas City, and on and on. Its good that our hundreds of millions of dollars built a bridge......

Re: “Crashing IHOP's annual Onething

Truthspeaker, Beth Cavete, and Beyond Grace are all pretty good evenhanded blogs to help process the modern day charismatic deceptions. Lots of testimonies of people getting free and coming back into simple faith in God and obedience to His word. The Gospel is real. Salvation is real and it is way more powerful than any occultic experiences or prophecies.

Re: “Klink Mobile CEO Jessie Bishop bets that the future of moving money is on your cellphone

Never mind my prior question. My reading comprehension derailed, but I now see it.

This is actually a great idea; I can see how this works in countries or among individuals where there is no banking system or a deep mistrust of banking institutions. What happens to this currency when banks become more of a presence in the economy? Is there a way to withdraw the money and get physical bills? Will Klink deposits be exchangable for US dollars (since US currency is the most widely held in the world) or can it be exchanged for local currency?
