Re: “KCDC director says American Royal plan is 'myopic and self-serving' in letter to Mayor James

Let's put a design center at kemper arena that will really draw a crowd (or people/money) ha there's nothing historic about that area or a "design center" whose actually serving someone else here?

Re: “Grab Chiefs Tickets To The Super Bowl From Ticket Score For Only $169

I've been searching everywhere to find a 5 star or LUXURY HOTEL like Arizona Grand or Biltmore or a nice Sheraton / Hilton for SUPER BOWL and of course everything is SOLD OUT at the hotels; I finally found a site, paid a HEFTY PRICE but booked it yesterday... I called the hotel today and ALL is A-OK with my reservation... Thanks http://14sb.com/, http://2020Hotels.com/ and http://ChampionsFinalsHotels.com/ , YOU ROCK! They also had moderate pricing accommodations, teams’ hotels where players are staying and other hotels for OLYMPICS, WORLD CUP, UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FINAL Berlin and other major sports events… THANKS www.14sb.com !

Re: “Christopher Nolan's Interstellar: An epic disappears into a black hole

You're complaining about the science in a science fiction movie? At least focus your complaint. Is it not accurate? Is it inappropriate?

Got it. You don't like Christopher Nolan.

And as far as the organ, clearly a heavy nod at 2001. There were a slew of sci fi references.

You're entitled to your opinion, obviously. It just seems like maybe they should assign someone else to te next Nolan flick.

He's not Felini. He writes/directs blockbusters. Say what you will but there aren't a lot of quasi-intricate plots in movies anymore. The Nolan brothers are at least ATTEMPTING to keep complex storytelling accessible.

Re: “Christopher Nolan's Interstellar: An epic disappears into a black hole

Having seen the film. I have an idea of why the review is so harsh. Too much science in far too small a time frame. And the ambitious nature of the film to get America to fall back in love with an old flame. Space travel. For the kids that are not old enough to remember JFK declaring we are going to the moon. If the human struggle takes us to the stars maybe our differences aren't all that important. That is why I will drop another 30 green backs of my hard earned money to feel a tiny bit closer to the next big dream.

Re: “Slim Chickens opens first local restaurant in Independence

Was OK. Over priced for what you get. I spent over 10 dollars just on my self and felt cheated. Food was hot and service was good but you really don't get what you pay for.

Re: “Help crowdfund Kansas' budget shortfall!

It's just too bad a few chosen people can't get together and do what's best for the whole tribe!
But you just have to shake your head and go about your own business. Because this country was built on murder and deceit from the get-go! You reap what you sow people!

Re: “Former employees say Missouri Department of Transportation leaders preyed on older workers

Um... can The Pitch publish all the survey comments? I currently work for the organization and we were told that the results weren't much different than surveys in previous years and all comments of concern were sent to district management. I'd like to see all the comments.

Hopefully the attorney general or whoever looks into all of this. These are taxpayers dollars. Where's that $850,000 verdict come from? State funds.

Re: “Earl's, Smaks and other Kansas City hamburgers that almost no one still remembers

Wimpy's Italian Steak Sandwich was always my favourite and a part of my KC childhood memories of the 1960's. Years later, whenever I would return home to KC for a visit, my first stop was Wimpy's on Troost. Now I live in Europe I wish I could duplicate that wonderful sandwich here.

Katie: I understand Foodoo is planning on adding some of the popular dinner dishes to the lunch menu. I will keep this post updated.

Re: “Foodoo is open, but no longer serving dinner

Hopefully some dinner favorites will make it to the lunch menu! The dinner menu categories were a bit confusing and I could never remember which items were lunch only or dinner only, but every dinner I had there was perfect. It was my last meal before leaving for New Orleans!

Re: “Foodoo is open, but no longer serving dinner

That's a shame - I really preferred their dinner menu to their lunch menu.
