Re: “Bishop Robert Finn, Catholic Diocese ordered to pay $1.1 million for not reporting child sexual abuse

Thankfully because of the determination of these very courageous victims to keep kids safe within this archaic secret system, there is now another way to hold bishops accountable for not keeping their promises of "Zero Tolerance" on child sex abuse by their clerics.
They are to commended for not giving up...
Sadly the sex abuse and cover up within the church hierarchy throughout the world is still going on to this day. Cardinals and bishops are still not removing accused predator clergy, and they are still not reporting to law enforcement. Their so called "zero tolerance" policy is not being followed by the bishops who created it. They don't have to, because there is no punishment to force the bishops to change their ways of protecting their power and the institution rather than protecting innocent children. This is why we need outside law enforcement and better legislation to hold these men accountable.

Why is Finn still a bishop running the KC diocese?
Until many of these bishops are demoted, disciplined, and held accountable for their crimes of enabling child predators and spending more time and money protecting themselves, nothing has changed. It is still business as usual.
Sex abuse thrives in secrecy and secret systems that allow it to continue to this day.
Silence is not an option anymore, it only hurts, and by speaking up there is a chance for healing, exposing the truth, and therefore protecting others

Finn needs to step down.

And if he's smart, he'll disappear as fast as he can.

Maybe they're just really bad at projections.

Re: “A crumbling fortress on Vine might be ground zero for a renewed Jazz District

Why does KC try to revive Jazz every 10 yrs? With all the money they waste on it inner city kids could be taught something useful-like reading. Not many people even like Jazz.

I hope this fails so I can buy this place and make it my house. I've always wanted a castle.

Re: “Stanford's Comedy Club has closed its Legends location, plans to reopen in Overland Park

The only things Glazer knows more about than comedy is a high dollar steak dinner and the ladies.

HOW MANY COMEDY CLUB DO YOU HAVE TO BE SUCCESSFULL UNDER YOUR NAME CHOWDERHEAD? exactly, none is how many. it take a real big looser to come on a internet message board and tell everyone what someone dose wrong in there business but unless you run a BUSINESS TO, how about you shut up amd leave the comedy bookings to The King of Comedy in this twon Craig GALZER.

Craig Glazer may have been able to run a Comedy Club at one point, but this makes three straight failed locations. Four if you count his joint venture with Johnny Dare. How many more times is he going to blame someone else for his bad bookings or his overpriced menu not selling?

Re: “The Lawrence Field Day Fest ended with a bang last night

Bad Ideas---Old Australian punk band name . The Philistines--- Glen Matlock of the Sex Pistols already used that name for one of his side projects. Stiff Middle Fingers---sounds too much like Stiff Little Fingers --the old Irish punk outfit. Lots dejavu in this article for an old punk rocker like me!!

I am disappointed to hear this. We are regulars there and we live up North. We will never travel to OP. But I understand a business has to do what is best for them.
