they got's taco's too...
Trey Miller: Thanks for catching that. We've corrected the link.
Orphan: Teresa's, as much as I love it, is too far east to be considered the urban core.
Ive been eating at Humdingers since 1975 ( i was 14). I dont go there now as much as i used to, but once every few months i will stop in for the Italian Steak Sandwich despite the inevitable heartburn i will have to endure the following night!! Harold's makes a mean burger as well, and has to be one of the cleanest mom and pop joints ive ever seen.
Here's one you or Charles need to check out:
La Hamburguesa Loca, 3009 Independence Ave, Kansas City, MO 64124
https://www.facebook.com/LaHamburguesaLoca
Everything we've had there has been good to excellent. First time I've ever had a burger with a slice of ham on it. I was a little skeptical, but it tasted really good. We try to eat there once a week.
Can't wait!!
riot is still shakin! beaumont sucked anyways. all us big kids hated seeing concerts there. they probably spent to much on the over staffing of security!
Teresa's at Truman Rd & Bennington is still operating.

The link to their Facebook page lands to a Flickr photo page.
IF MCI AIRPORT ISN'T BROKEN DON'T SPEND 1.5 BILLION TO FIX NOT SH-T...
A GREAT IDEA WOULD BE TO SPEND HALF OF THAT 1.5 BILLION ON KANSAS CITY MISSOURI RAGGED ASS SCHOOL DISTRICT as well as its DILAPIDATED PLAYING FIELDS & GYMS.
Real cutesy poo article. Their food is still gross. Grow some balls and tell it like it is. Or just keep giving positive reviews to fucking dumps because they advertise in the Pitch.
I miss D'Bronx when the original owners owned it, so, so, so much better. It's no longer on my rotation.
Congratulations to Mr. Hoffmann. After 200 beers, his judgement will now be as accurate as Mr. Denkinger's. His favorite saying could be: "Safe!"
I like corned beer.
I miss you mojo rip
A great singer-songwriter.
Methinks I shall attend.
Pokey more of a river blues singer musician?
Any sandwich from Orange Box, but for sure the Tenderloin
Great interview. You don't describe "Hot Club's" music, you experience it. We can't wait to travel to Texas from New York, each year, to "experience" Hot Club @ The Continental. The first time I heard them, I closed my eyes and tried to figure out who they sounded like. After the 4th tune, I gave up. Elana isn't Nataile Mc McMaster, Whit isn't Tony Matola and Jake has no equal, period. Now put them together and the chemistry is pure fun and musical heaven. Can you tell, I'm a true fan?
Re: “The Humdinger: Stand in line to get in, baby”
Hi Charlie...can you please define chemical for me? I'm sure you're ingesting a lot of "chemicals" everyday, I can't seem to think of anything edible that's NOT one
