Re: “Kansas City has always been welcoming to gay diners

As soon as a venue labels themselves a "punk club" they are destined to fail. Cant wait to try the new place.

Re: “The Rolling Stones showed Kansas City how to rock last night at Arrowhead

I wasn't thrilled with $30 parking. But, getting there early and having beers if the parking lot saved some cash. PS This is the REAL dude!!!

Re: “Here's some local reaction to today's Supreme Court decision legalizing gay marriage in all 50 states

As a heterosexual male, I have no desire or intentions of marrying another man, but will not try to stop anyone else from doing so.

That, my friends, is what America is about-freedom.

Freedom has been denied and fought over, throughout the history of man. Let folks do as they please, as long as nobody gets hurt.

Re: “The Rolling Stones showed Kansas City how to rock last night at Arrowhead

To the asshole impersonating me @1:08PM. Fuck Off. The is the REAL dude.

You would not have caught me dead watching a bunch of 70+ year old geezers prance around on stage making a mockery of their better days. It goes to show how starved a cow town like KC is for entertainment.

Hey, I heard Larry the Cable dude and that hand puppet jackass guy is coming in town soon, better get in line for horrible entertainment at Camarohead!

@popefrancis @governorlapetamaine Fools. Unless you just never leave your caves I guarantee a gay person has made or served you a meal, or you've sat next to one at Denny's while you eat your Grand Slam.

Re: “Bradyn Fuksa flees a theft charge and disappears in Wyoming

Looks like his guilt led to suicide by gun. I didn't know him but when you're that age, certain mistakes can seem overwhelming, out of proportion to how you'd see them as you matured. Too bad he didn't get a second chance to see that life can forgive smaller errors in judgement. You can't know then what you might know later, and sometimes nobody explains it to you. This was a sad tale of misdirected fate. R.I.P.

Re: “Mick Jagger watch officially under way

So......the "dude" wrote......

"In anticipation of what will surely be an epic, do-not-miss show at Arrowhead Stadium on Saturday, June 27"

Please tell me you are typing this ironically. I am a Stones fan and there is no way I would pay money to sit and watch what was, WAS one of the world's greatest bands. I don't think you could pay me to do it either..

You are a Stones fan, don't sound like it to me. I would have bought your ticket Precious, and we did not sit and watch.....bitch.

Good for you, it saved a seat for someone else who completely enjoyed a very great night of music. Save your money, honey, there might be some damn thing that you need.....and quit whining.

Re: “The Rolling Stones showed Kansas City how to rock last night at Arrowhead

I saw them in '75 and my daughter and son-in-law took me for Father's Day. 40 years later the Stones and I are a little more gray, but Mick and company are quite simply professional artists on top of a catalog of brilliant Rock and Roll. Midnight Rambler and Kansas City blew me away.

Re: “The Rolling Stones showed Kansas City how to rock last night at Arrowhead

That was the best show I've seen since Pink Floyd in 1994 at Arrowhead. It was truly amazing, the energy was palpable!

Re: “The Rolling Stones showed Kansas City how to rock last night at Arrowhead

You don't need permission to play anybody's song live or you would never hear any cover or bar band. They did do fans poll and tried to cater to what the majority wanted to hear. This is the 4th time I have seen them in Kc. And I think the pitch review here is spot on. The energy these guys brought last night was unmeasurable. They still got plenty left in the tank. And they are still such a tight unit. A must see show!

Re: “The Rolling Stones showed Kansas City how to rock last night at Arrowhead

They were great, but they just played the hits: They did NOT do "Sticky Fingers" in its entirety as promised! There was no "Sway" (my personal favorite), "Can't You Hear Me Knocking," "Dead Flowers," or "Moonlight Mile." I suspect much of the disputed Mick Taylor material was dropped from the list since their lawyers were unable to come to terms. They sure haven't slowed down much, though. It was a nice touch when Mick Jagger borrowed a couple of girls' smart phones and took "selfies" while he performed, before returning them! Joey Skidmore

Best wished Jim to you, your family and our true friends. It is very easy to read here all the hate and disenfranchisement being directed toward YOU (not your opinions) by the very same interests who cry foul when they do not get their way.

Re: “The NHL is expanding ... just not to Kansas City

A little nitpicking, maybe, but you might want to check your hockey history. It's true that Seattle has never had an NHL team ... but they do have a Stanley Cup champion.

Several decades ago, there were two major hockey leagues in the U.S. -- the National Hockey Association (the forerunner to the NHL), and the Pacific Coast Hockey Association. The champions of those leagues played each other for the Stanley Cup, which Seattle won in 1917. Seattle also had a chance to win the cup in 1919, but the series was called off because of a Spanish Flu outbreak.
