Re: “Nick and Jake's, midtown version, opens this month, say owners

You're all idiots for arguing about the use of the word midtown.

Re: “Westport brimmed with music on Saturday night for Middle of the Map Festival

There were bands outside the hipster and hip hop realm too April. Break out of your comfort zone and make your magazine relevant.

And when I move my family away from this area so my child wont have to suffer from this school district it wont be because of frozen chitlins.

Re: “Saturday night, Center of the City popped off at Vandals

"The Bad Ideas are a force with which to be reckoned. These four are the snotty, audience-rallying inheritors of the Sister Mary Rotten Crotch crown."

Um, have you ever even seen Sister Mary?
Do you realize that SMRC would THROTTLE the Bad Ideas in a back to back line up, or anywhere else for that matter? I mean destroy them.
Inherit SMRC's crown? Really? Idiot.

That is just one example of how crappy this entire "story" is. There are too many for me to bother to list.
This entire article was poorly written. I have seen high school writing that was better than this. Is the Pitch using interns to do their reviews now? Do they not want to pay for real writers?
This paper, that used to be pretty cool, is now irrelevant. Waste of fucking trees.
No wonder Inc Magazine is so much more popular.

Re: “iPho Tower now open at 3623 Broadway - and kitchen stays open late

All their branding seems to point to it being one word. Just thought you should give that a check.

Re: “Longboards Wraps & Bowls signs deal for new Mission location

If you open a Longboards in midtown or Crossroads I will be there every day. As it is, I still manage to drive up to Gladstone now and then. So good!

Also, if ever the Gladstone location were to expand seating a bit that would be great too!

Re: “El Burrito Loco Mexican Cafe is now open

Just had lunch here today, me and a co-worker split Enchiladas and a Burrito (to have a sample of each). It was great! My step-mother was born and raised in Mexico, so believe me when I say that I can't find good Mexican food. This was more of a tex-mex, but it was definitely authentic, and tasted fresh.

I'll definitely be going back to try some other dishes here, the enchilada rojas sauce was a little different, but definitely not bad. Seemed more baked on than a traditional sauce. Rice was great mexi-rice! And beans were beans (can't mess those up :P).

Re: “KKFI's annual on-air band auction starts this Thursday

I listen to KKFI for the music programming, and have since 1991.

I tune in the bridge when the public affairs stuff starts, except during pledge week.

KKFI's band auctions are fun. Some really good local talent comes through the studio every year.

Re: “KKFI's annual on-air band auction starts this Thursday

Man, the week that I'm suddenly spending more time in the car, KCUR does the pledge drive. I get about two mins of Morning Addition and then I have to switch to the mouth-breathers on 96.5 making poop jokes. Thank you for the alternative station suggestion!

Re: “Shawnee Mission Beach Volleyball

Walked in for the first time since last fall for Volleyball and was shocked at the changes that had taken place. Now change can be good and bad. In this case change was BAD!! The food before was pretty darn delicious as far as bar food goes. The tots were always the highlight of my trip. Not this time. After waiting 30min for food our pizza came cold almost still frozen, the tots were bland and mildly warm at best and the price of drinks have gone up as well. So to review, it takes longer, food sucks, and prices are higher. All and all I would say the changes are for the worst. We will still play here but head down the road to Austins for food and drink after games.

Sorry SMBV - we loved the place until you decided to flush the entire experience down the toilet.

P.S. - Please clean your bathrooms, and fix your born before this date to drink clock. It's suppose to show the born before this date to drink, not today's date "facepalm".
