Re: “Tomfooleries

To Tomfooleries Restaurant & Bar, I WILL NEVER SPEND ANOTHER DIME AT YOUR ESTABLISHMENT & WILL DISCOURAGE EVERYONE ELSE I KNOW FROM DOING SO AS WELL!!! I have never received such terrible customer service from a restaurant before, especially when the food & drinks are subpar at best!!! Your management staff needs to have extensive training on how to speak with & treat customers, they turned an evening of good times and celebration into a very negative experience. Unless you retrain your night time management staff or replace them I think it will negatively impact your companies bottom line in the future!!!!

Re: “Does the city need a new, billion-dollar Kansas City International?

Are you kidding what this is all about is lining the pockets of everyones buddies . They could spend a ton less and use what they have it's not that bad and I can promise you that this new airport will happen and after it does that I can point out a few places where security can be breached just like the old airport...

Re: “Why do vegetarians want faux meat?

Honesty, what you said is ridiculous. Anyone who lives in a developed country and eats meat is spitting in the face of poor starving people because all the feed required to raise livestock could have otherwise been used to feed those starving people.

Re: “Piccadilly Cafeteria - CLOSED

From all I have seen, read, and experienced in a lifetime of eating at Picadilly as I have traveled throughout the Midwest, and southeast, I not only have been pleased with the quality (and quantity) but also the price. Great food and service.

There's still a Maid Rite in Lexington, MO. There's also a Mugs Up in Columbia that very few people seem to know about.

Re: “Does the city need a new, billion-dollar Kansas City International?

Not everyone thinks KCI functions all that well for passengers. It only seems that way because they are the ones fighting the potential for change, and their voices are therefore loudest at the moment. I fly ~ 25 times a year, and KCI is barely adequate. It's definitely not some jewel worth preserving.

It seems those who complain compare their experience at KCI to some mega-airport like LaGuardia, Ohare, or Atlanta. Those are ridiculous comparisons. Most airports that handle about as much traffic as ours are just as easy--if not easier--to navigate with one central terminal. They all have parking at various price levels, from economy to terminal garages, and those garages are not usually full as KCI's Terminal B garage frequently is. Most of them have short walks from ticket counter to security to the gate.

What they also have are places beyond security to get a decent cup of coffee and adequate restroom facilities. KCI does not, and I dare you to spend a significant delay beyond security in Terminal B and not get frustrated. Other airports also have flexibility for carriers to add or subtract service; KCI does not.

Is a ten-figure project the only answer? Maybe not, but the status quo isn't a valid solution either.

Re: “Does the city need a new, billion-dollar Kansas City International?

Apparently, everyone aknowledges that it currently functions well for passengers but for the business of airline travel, from the standpoint of baggage thru security, it does not function well. Additionally the existing structure needs repair and maintence due to neglect. Thirdly, there is lost revenue on account of the inability to secure more airline business.
Change is difficult but often does open up new possibilities that are unseen. Probably it is inevitable that change will come to MCI. I agree with Robert MacRae having traveled to cities with rail systems that link airports with intended destinations.

Re: “Soundgarden's sludgy sound, last night at the Midland (review)

The sounds was bad. The mix was not working correctly. Cornell's voice was not loud enough and you could not distinquish between the two guitars. You could not even understand what Cornell was saying between songs. The song selection was top-notch though. Great setlist. The crowd in the balcony was kind of lame though. I saw a dude get annoyed because he was tyring to take a phone video and the guy in front of him stood up to jam out. LAME. The feedback at the end of the show was cool. It was a two hour show, plus the feedback.

Re: “Oklahoma Joe's ribs named the best in the country by The Daily Meal

Husband's the rib eater, I'm the burnt end person but I think he would definately rank them in the top 5. I know he's somewhat partial to BB's & RJ's ribs, though I don't know in which order.

The feedback thing was cool and the song selection was great. The sound, however, was not mixed properly. The vocals were not loud enough and you could not tell the difference between Kim's and Chris' guitars. The mix was bad.

"Do they always do that?"

Maybe you'd be better off at a 'Cowboy Indian Bear Grizzly Attack Mountain Cat Deer' concert.
