Re: “One Night in Westport... (NSFW)

Yeah, the pictures aren't that revelatory but it's no reason to snark about their photographers.

Re: “One Night in Westport... (NSFW)

Wow, these pictures are not only boring, but hard to look at because they're so oversaturated with color and contrast. It's bad enough when one hack (cough, Forester, cough) uses this technique, we don't need another.

Re: “Kitchen Ink: Kansas City chefs show off their tattoos

Tattoos are a rediculous fad like skinny jeans or sagging for people who have to jump on whatever bandwagon thats currently happening. Except its a fad that you are stuck with when the other sheep have moved on to the next one. While some of them are beautiful and must have taken great skill to do, most shown here dont even fall into that class. They may be clever, but no more clever than any joke that most people come up with every day. I dont see the need to have to remind yourself of it for life, or maybe these people arent that clever and its as good as it gets. Case in point being the woman with the blue collar and the knuckle sandwich. Its funny for about a minute, but come on does she really need to have it forever. I guess I just dont get it, of course everyone has their own opinion, but unless you are Polynesian and its inherent to your culture it comes off to me as another stupid fashion trend.

Re: “First Friday heats up Crossroad District

I love these pics! It was a good representation of how great FF in KC is. I was there, and it's funny because you can really tell in these pictures how hot it was there. Ugh! Sweaty, sticky August mess!

Re: “Rockfest aftermath: Penn Valley Park is a muddy wasteland

Rockfest 2010 was the best thing ever. the mudd made it amazing! it was fixed and it is ok. let rockfest return. its not the fans fault it rained all day. it would have happened even if the fans weren't acting crazy. never had any problems with it before the rain right?

Re: “White Haven Motor Lodge auction

I remember Griffs and Smaks, I grew up in a small town and I remember them from there. I figured they were small town joints but I guess not. I hate to see old things go down the tubes, one of these days I'll be one of the old things goin down. Route 66 has some interesting stuff on the old motels. they don't make them like that anymore, they had character. Thanks for reminding me about these two hamburger places, cool and I'm with you keep the sign.

Re: “Barack Obama in Kansas City

Where were all these Tea Baggers when Bush was president and running things into the ground for 8 years? Obama has been holding together the pieces of Bush's mess. If a Republican were president then these same people would blame immigrants, the "inner city" (PC speak for blacks and minorities). If you don't like minorities then say it, but this farce of blaming one man for 8 years of an inept administration's mistakes is getting old. Do you really think you elect Palin in 2012 and everything is peachy? Who will you blame then?
