Re: “Slideshow: Sun and suds at KC Beerfest

No additional feedback that the only people left serving beer at 2:30 pm were Boulevard and McCoy's? Next time KC advertises a Beer Festival with over 200 vendors to sample, from 1-5 try having enough beer to last longer than an hour and a half. $30 for a few 4 oz samples of beer I can get anytime in Westport was very disappointing. I'm very surprised that the event organizers would have planned this so poorly and would caution those thinking of going next year at such a high price for such a low return.

Re: “Slideshow: Sun and suds at KC Beerfest

Awesome time, but they starting running out of beer too early. Boulevard was the last vendor I remember getting beer from.

Re: “Rockfest 2010 at Liberty Memorial

On behalf of most rockers i would like to state that our intentions were and are never to destroy anything it is simply to experience something you can only get from music and atmosphere. I feel like we made History and memories, because what is life without rememberance. Mother Nature will always flourish, and she probably didn't mind the music either!

Re: “Mayor Mark Funkhouser's sparsely attended carnival/town hall meeting at Sprint Center

How is Funkhouser still the mayor of anything but crazytown?

Re: “Rockfest aftermath: Penn Valley Park is a muddy wasteland

Funny, I don't see piles of trash or beer bottles or anything like that. It looks like any field that had lots of people and lots of rain at the same time. (think fairgrounds) I think with a little landscape planning to allow better drainage, a little more care taken to limit where cars and trucks go, this can be a good event with less impact on the area. I don't think Aggie should be crying...he should be working to improve the area for events like this.

Re: “Rockfest aftermath: Penn Valley Park is a muddy wasteland

It is grass seed. Get those yellow coaters out of downtown and over there workin for a few days with rakes, plant it up and hold twice the event next year with free slip and slides for all. Good god park board. This event has generated a few million dollars in revenue over the past few years. Fix it, thank everyone for coming and paying for a few jobs and shut the eff up!!

Re: “Rockfest aftermath: Penn Valley Park is a muddy wasteland

Parks are for people. They didn't desecrate anything but grass, which will grow back.

Re: “Rockfest aftermath: Penn Valley Park is a muddy wasteland

It rained, all day, 55,000 people. what did the parks board expect??? the station is paying to clean it up, have paid 200,000 to the parks dept, donated 50,000 to the liberty memorial. the flame is lighted because of this donation, kc had a hard time coming up with the money to keep the flame lit. all will be good, give em time to plant grass. we will never see 18 pis of look what a good job the station did fixing the damage. we should, but we will not

Re: “Rockfest aftermath: Penn Valley Park is a muddy wasteland

The park never looked like that until they chased the out. Shame.

Re: “Rockfest aftermath: Penn Valley Park is a muddy wasteland

Since promotors are footing the bill for the clean up, let's see give them a chance to do so, then publish some pictures. Especially, considering I'm sure the city has already cashed the $250,000 check AEG wrote to hold the event here....as they've done every year...for 11 years.

Re: “Cirque de Soleil's Alegria at the Sprint Center

Great show, as always, but folks, if you've never seen a Cirque du Soleil show in Vegas and you've only seen these traveling shows---go. Go to Vegas, plop down the money and take one in. It will be some of the best 2 hours you will ever spend. These on the road shows are like watching fireworks on tv--pretty but flat and 2-dimensional. Go get that third dimension. It'll knock yer eyes out. Mo Rage The blog

Re: “Battle of the radio vans!

I've never even heard of that Spanish language station. Pretty sad when a no name AM Spanish language stations lays it down on the other stations in terms of hip vanness.

Re: “Battle of the radio vans!

My God, that Hot 103 van is the the ugliest thing I have ever seen. Hey, don't they have TWO H2 Hummers too? Way to look out for the environment guys. You suck.

Re: “Battle of the radio vans!

98.9's van is a retired MAST ambulance--the old kind with the funny angles visible from the back, characteristic of it's coach maker, Braun Company. I like it. The PT is cool, too, but as I have one, and likely of the same vintage, I may not be an unbiased opinion!
