Re: “KCMO paid out $1.1 million to private contractors on the streetcar expansion voters rejected

Ed Ford, and occasionally John Sharp, is often the sole voice of sanity on our city council. The others should take note, and listen when he speaks. Also, Ed Ford for Mayor?

Re: “KCMO paid out $1.1 million to private contractors on the streetcar expansion voters rejected

I'm so sick of this mayoral administration. Drove down Cleveland yesterday in the rain and practically had to swim home. Fucking ridiculously wrong-minded, lining-palms-with-silver bullshit. Fix the sewers, clear snow and bury power lines like a goddamn city should do. Enough with your cronyism. Give us the services WE PAY FOR.

Who would put an item to vote without doing feasibility studies? Let's say they didn't do feasibility studies prior to voting, put the issue to ballot, and then found out that it was not a possible project. Man, wouldn't you have an article to write then!

Re: “Kevin Yoder sure has taken a lot of money from Kansas City's payday-loans crowd

Hudnall - Great work on exposing the payday mess. No need to try and pull politics into it. There are dirt balls on both sides of the isle and plenty of dirt balls in their respective districts willing to back them.

Not since the days of boss Tom Pendergast has Kansas City seen a collection of shysters like we have now in office. I suggest we just hang a large sign on the City Hall building: "Mayor & Council For Hire, Inquire Within."

Re: “The boisterous crowd at Kauffman Stadium threw off A's outfielders during Hosmer's 12th inning triple

Uh...even if Fuld and Gomes don't collide, lets say they just stop in front of each other... THEY STILL HAVE TO CHASE DOWN THE BALL INTO LEFT CENTER!! If "ifs and buts were candy's and nuts... it would be Christmas every day" Different result my ass.

Re: “Kevin Yoder sure has taken a lot of money from Kansas City's payday-loans crowd

While I appreciate some of the information within this article, something that I find continually disturbing is how many journalists make the story about them in some way. This is a good example of that.

Good information -- terrible delivery.

Hudnall - I almost always agree with you politically, but the tabloid perspective you take on so many columns gets old. This has essentially become a gossip column - how many names can you drop to piss people off type of thing.

And yeah - it is a bit hard to talk the amount of trash I do about fox news and then turn around and quote the Pitch. I will give the 'jack'off commenters that much.

Re: “While Stand Up KC pushes for higher wages, fast-food companies still have it their way

Better wake up as the Fast Food industry is replacing majority of workers with rebots in the very near future, then many will have NO jobs.

IF Americans want to have a job, feed their families they should be out on the street protesting the Illegal Alien Invasion that IS taking their jobs!

I'll be honest, I'd love to hear fake Craig Glazer's take on this new stake joint after he takes a couple of his young broads there before Sexy Saturday at Voodoo Lounge.

Re: “Kansas courts say again that there's no requirement that a Democrat run against Pat Roberts

Who is Greg Orman? I think he's a phony, and a filthy rich one at that.

Orman's nine-member 501(c)(4) Common Sense Coalition includes top execs from Goldman Sachs and AMC, the vice chairman of Walmart, a former Accenture top exec. It is a coalition of plutocrats. How are they going to help the average American who is struggling with declining wages?

Goldman Sachs helped wreck our economy in 2008 when they bet successfully against their own sub-prime mortgages. None of the Goldman Sachs officials were prosecuted. I think Orman has a lot of nerve to put Goldman Sachs on his "common sense" coalition board.

I'm a Kansas who voted for Obama twice. I even volunteered for him in 2008. At this point I think the Democrats are more dangerous than the Republicans. I changed my mind about Obama after his DOJ placed the Associated Press under surveillance, illegally, and Eric Holder lied about not signing the warrant for the surveillance. Then finding out Obama was spying on all of us, then finding out he lied that families would save $2,000 a year for better health coverage. Then not prosecuting any bankers from 2008 crash. Then the IRS unfairly targeting 501(c)(4) for their conservative views and then destroying evidence and lying about computer crashes.

I am pro-choice and pro-gun control, but I will take a TUMS and hold my nose and vote for Roberts because the Obama admin., with its chilling intimidation of journalists and free speech, its lies, and its arrogance, is even more terrifying to me.

Re: “The boisterous crowd at Kauffman Stadium threw off A's outfielders during Hosmer's 12th inning triple

Drive was to left center. The key wasn't whether it would have been caught, the key was that they collided and allowed Hosmer to get to third. Had they not collided, it may have been a double and Hosmer doesn't score from second on the sac fly, so could have been a totally different result.
