Re: “Kansas City, Missouri, City Council passes convention hotel deal

What do I care though, I live in Gardner, KS and hardly ever leave my little bubble!

(rolling stones and van halen concerts in the last few weeks were all awesome, btw)

Re: “Kansas City, Missouri, City Council passes convention hotel deal

If there is so much money to be made from the conventions that will never come why do they need all the public money?

Let's see, New York, Miami, Las Vegas, Kansas City which one to choose. Tough decisions.

Re: “Kansas City, Missouri, City Council passes convention hotel deal

Why the shady dealing from the Council? I am particularly disappointed with the actions of one SCOTT WAGNER, a man who reportedly has aspirations to be the next Mayor. SCOTT WAGNER did not seek to stop the back door, lame duck approval of this package. The city passed this as an "emergency". Because of this there is only 5 days to reconsider its passage. Hmmmm.... the new council is seated in 8 days. How convenient

SCOTT WAGNER DOES NOT REPRESENT THE INTERESTS OF THE NORTHLAND. HE TURNED HIS BACK ON HIS SUPPORTERS. THE VERY PEOPLE WHO DECIDED NOT TO RUN AN OPPONENT AGAINST HIM.

SCOTT WAGNER IS BAD FOR KANSAS CITY. Remember this when he asks you to make him the next mayor of Kansas City. Let's see what SCOTT WAGNER does with the new airport plan.

Re: “The Campground's Christopher Ciesiel talks crowdsourcing ahead of Saturday's pop-up fundraiser

Even though it won't be open super-late and it'll be super-tiny, at least he's super-flattered that people are donating. Sounds really, really, enormously, immensely, super-super!

Re: “Van Halen showed its age at Cricket Wireless Amphitheater last night

The band was right on. I do not mind improvisation. BUT ! Dave could you sing one song like it's recorded. Is it that difficult Dave. All in all it was a very good show. The arrangement of a song with the vocals sung correctly is the song. This is how it goes Dave. Everybody wants some, back up vocals. Now its your turn to sing Dave .I want some too. And take that LAS VAGAS outfit off Dave. Put on some jeans and a tee-shirt and rock out.Your a down and dirty rock band.

Yeah, diehl was for family values too. Hard to imagine that someone in a position of power would try to abuse it

Re: “Why was Mike Sanders so eager to get Brittany Burke a Jackson County paycheck?

Platte County politics are far shadier than this!! County government sends secret emails to private developers (discovered through Missouri Sunshine Law), a P&Z director in the hands of developers, and a single lone commissioner, Jason Brown, uses his "power" to over ride 14 unanimous "no" votes on a massive scale housing development hearing...and behold! 95% of his campaign contributors are from the building and banking industry! And so is the financing bank for the muti million dollar development. Shocker.

Re: “Paul LeVota, Independence senator, accused of sexual harassment by intern in Jefferson City

As someone who has worked locally with Sen. Levota and seen him in action, I find this accusation very hard to believe. He is a person committed to his work, his community and his professionalism. I am sure a thorough investigation will be completed and will find that Sen. Levota is not the kind of person that would lower himself to such inappropriate actions.

It seems pretty obvious to me why he wanted to bring her on board.
