Re: “Ex-Grandview police officer Jeffrey Moreland charged in the homicides of Nina Whitney and Cara Jo Roberts

I knew him for many years when I went to grandview high school also when I worked at skate land in grandview. I knew his daughter and even went to his home off of Holmes road many many years ago. Never thought he would do this but would have loved to see the death penalty I. This but I think that he should have to suffer in prison for what he did before joining satan in hell.

Re: “Watch tonight's Royals game at one of these five low-key spots

Buffalo Wild Wings near Metcalf and 137th will only sit you if your whole party is there. Also they need to physically see your whole party before they put your name on the waiting isy. Staff is unfriendly and the Manager had the same attitude. You would think bringing them business would make them somewhat pleasant???

Re: “Homeland Security made a Royals panty raid at Birdies

Copyright and trademark issues are real. I'm not famous enough that anyone would want to copy my designs. But I think Chuck has some healthful perspective and information. I am curious why there would be dislikes on his post. Many items are being sold without the imprimatur of the Royals. To many to sort out. Use the publicity and ride that pony. Didn't someone say any publicity is good publicity?

They are so used to sticking their hands in our pants at the airport that well they needed some panties to practice with because they are getting so bored with folks who wear Haines or Fruit of the Looms.

Re: “Stroud's pans for new customers in southern OP

When are they going to do a spicy chicken recipe?
All KC people wish to know because while the plain fried recipe is OK a spicy recipe would make it that much better. Please make this happen Charles.

Oh my. "NewLow" must be another friend/apologist for the crooks who have been caught with their pants down. Perhaps you should buy your golfing pals at LTS a couple of drinks and some dinner at 801 Fish before the Feds have them eating Mac & Cheese and cheap hot dogs.

Re: “Homeland Security made a Royals panty raid at Birdies

Scott Wilson, perhaps you can do a little more reporting and explain why Homeland Security would be involved with this? Oh ... or maybe you're busy completing other one-source stories. I get it ... this is a blog ... it's a lot more fun to be tongue-in-cheek than actually explain and inform the public. Publicly informing people is so not sexy. Well then … let me help you out since you’re busy …

People should know that Homeland Security is an enforcing agent for copyright and intellectual property issues (I'm not saying I agree with this -- it just happens to be the case). The Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) oversees, enforces, and investigates a myriad of issues. As it turns out commercial fraud and intellectual property rights fall into the group’s purview. So, intellectual property includes copyright infringement. And if an organization doesn’t actively try to protect its copyright, trademark and/or intellectual property it can:
1) Water down the brand
2) Open up the organization to other people using its stuff without paying and making money off of their stuff. So in those regards, this really wasn’t personal … and I'm sure as a small business owner and artist that Peregrine understands these issues.

Some of you may recall the current issue with the Washington Redskins. Peregrine can put that logo on any pair of panties she wants right now probably with very little trouble … but really … who around the Kansas City metro or anywhere would want that logo on their butt?

Here’s a funny thing though that I just want to note. Anyone, not just the Royals organization or the MLB, could have reported the misuse of the KC Royals logo in this case. There’s an online tip form (http://www.ice.gov/webform/hsi-tip-form) and people also can call a number with anonymous tips. Now, if I was an industrious reporter, I might check in to see if Homeland Security will talk about where the information came from on this case or at least ask someone with Homeland Security: "How is it that you dudes have to oversee intellectual property and copyright issues?" (PS ... it may have something to do with piracy issues). At the same time, it’s just some panties …

Re: “Charming, spacious, centrally located former dens of predatory lending for sale or lease in Kansas City

Breaking News: Closed Businesses No Longer Need Office Space.

I'd like for my 13 year-old son to learn the value of a dollar, to earn money for himself. Can he write for the Pitch? He, too, gets eerily obsessed over certain matters and makes childish, irrational arguments - but he can type 130 words per minute. I've never been a big fan of tabloids but I'll continue to make an exception for the Pitch if you hire him.

I'm sure they were only serving a court order. The Royals had to have filed this case. The US Marshalls usually serve orders from federal courts.
