Besides the mandatory presence of flat screens and cheap domestics, there's another truth about sports bars: You're either for the bar's team or you're against them. Not so at the BrewTop Pub and Patio, says a comely waitress. "Our boss is a huge Mizzou fan, but he's willing to play other games," she laughs. "If anything's going on, we'll play it." The spacious bar's front portion leaves some wall space for Miller Lite ads and photos, but it's mostly overrun with HDTVs and projector screens. In the middle are three rows of round, wooden tables with wrought-iron-backed chairs, occupied by rapt sports fans. On quieter nights, the Spanish interior arches made of bricks, yellow walls and high ceilings makes for great ambience for a casual drink. When weather permits, the huge rooftop bar offers an alternative to the less sports-obsessed.
