I wish someone would park a food truck here in Brookside. We have many restaurants, but a food truck would be a refreshing change of pace and would make some good money I bet.
When I bought my house 4 years ago, the ghost made it very clear about what should and should not be in my kitchen. A friend of mine had given me a hand painted platter with a whimsical vampire on it. That plate was stored in the cupboard. In the middle of the night I heard a loud crash. The platter was smashed to bits in the dining room and the cupboard door was open. He's done that to a couple other things...but one time he kissed me on the cheek and patted my butt as he walked through my kitchen where I was standing at the sink.
Did some research on the home. It was built in 1915 by the city auditor of Kansas City. He died in the house in the early 50s. So we know who he is and we'll call him out when he does some sort of prank or another.
There is now a ghost cat that walks from the back of the kitchen to the basement door...but that is a different story for a different day...
For a very surreal experience check out China Tom's. Most offerings on the buffet didn't lookd familiar and nothing is marked. We asked the hostess to tell us what was on the buffet and there was a language barrier. I enjoyed it, but my partner who can't eat anything that comes out of water was scared for the most part.
Re: “Find food trucks with Eat St., a new iPhone and Web-based app”
Yes, the lunch rush is crazy down here, but you should totally give it a shot.
Maybe the cupcake truck could pull up in front of Sidekicks (or across the street since the old Spay and Nueter Clinic building is vacant) Saturday afternoons during darts! How many people do we usually have there, Jen?
