Smaks was like a cross between Winsteads (thin, crispy burgers) and McDonalds. Earl's was a great greasy spoon. The food was OK (Trio hash browns instead of fries), but affable Earl and his wife were the heart and soul of the joint. Far superior to Town Topic, IMHO.
